It ruins the Kramer character for me. IMO Richards and Kramer are intertwined. He is Kramer and Kramer is a racist piece of ****.
"Who told you to go mental in that club? Did I tell you to go mental in that club?" Upon hearing that Kramer is involved, however, Chiles declares "I don't want nothing to do with it!" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jackie_Chiles
All these people saying Seinfeld sucks are the reason we have so many tv sitcoms about a fat guy with a hot wife or Friends rip offs. As for Richards, he's dead to me.
I saw that but the "LA club curcuit" hardly prepares comics for what the comedy club landscape is now. The Comedy Store is one thing but the Little Rock Looney Bin is something ENTIRELY different.
Watch "Late Night with David Letterman" tonite. Jerry Seinfeld is the guest and Richards patches in via satellite with an apology.
No black person will accept any apology from this guy after what he said. I'd be pretty surprised if his career doesn't end here, unless he plans to be a spokesman for the KKK.
Wow, saw the video. That was hilarious. That made my week. I like Paul Rodriguez " "Once the word comes out of your mouth and you don't happen to be African-American, then you have a whole lot of explaining," he said. "Freedom of speech has its limitations and I think Michael Richards found those limitations."- P-Rod
Damn what a mess, Richards just lost it big time. Won't ever ruin Seinfeld for me but just a sad thing to see
I figure that if I can still watch the Naked Gun series and laugh, this is a cake walk for my Seinfeld fix. Just have to seperate that's all.
Richards looks like he's lost his mind. It is very strange that that is how he handeled the hecklers. Comedians always have an advantage over hecklers. Number one hecklers can barely be heard by most of the audience, and is on a lower plane. The comedian has a loud microphone, is usually funnier, and more sober than the hecklers. As long as the comedian remains calm, and appears in control, he will almost always come out on top of a heckler. However, even if Richards was upset by the hecklers, couldn't think of anything to say back at them, or just had an awful day, there is nothing that excuses the racist tirade he went on. He seriously seemed to have lost it.
