Right now, Green is not playing that well with KPJ at the helm.

I do not care if he is scoring PG or not, the priority is still Green, he has to know that.

If Green fails in his 3rd year, okay you could move him to the bench.

 

I mean, as someone posted earlier, they are playing pretty well together lately.

 

My only concerns were that the PG position needs to be a leadership position and did not think that food fights in the locker room plus the pedal back after shot to complain to a ref was leadership. That he was better at getting his 19 pts and 6 assists from the SF position and having another pg. But the more I thought about it, CP3 punches people in the balls, screams at his own teammates and probably threw some panties Harden had collected from a stripper at Harden.

I hope KPJ himself realizes that he shouldn't expect a big offer. He has to earn the trust of the franchise via a team friendly deal. After that's expired, we can talk about a big offer

 

Lol for a franchise that is going to pick new rookies, they are not going work out for you if they know that rookie development is not high on your list.

That is just the new reality, like it or not.

Right now, both KPJ and Green are playing for stats, but they need to complement one another and form a real tandem.

Most importantly on defensive assignments as those win you more games.

The next step would be to separate them into starters and bench mob.

Porter is easily best player on a horrifically bad team.

 

sengun is so easily better than him....he has/ does almost everything better than KPJ....

 

Agreed he is separating himself - has really come on with his passing and cutting down on turnovers.

Now we need to find guys that can shoot the 3ball at all the other spots......right now we have too many bad shooters playing spots that need to be able to hit a 3ball.

Tate needs to be an energy guy off the bench right now. His lack of shooting is killing KPJ and Green's ability to familiarize themselves with one another.

Starting 5 should be

KPJ/Green/Christopher/Wood/Sengun.

These are 5 guys who could realistically be here long term. See if they fit together. Wood needs to find a role and stop trying to be James Harden. I believe the talent is there but the coaching staff needs to reel him in. If that's not possible, then you can't put him down as a future piece. They need to figure this out now.

Eric/KJ/Tate/Matthews should be the the second unit with one of KPJ or Green running the unit.

Wood/Sengun should be sprinkled in with those guys too depending on matchups.

Playing Schroder heavy minutes this year is a ****ing joke.

 

I agree with all this. I can only think they are holding on to Schroeder with the fear that the Nets sign him and hurt our pick. He and Gordon do not need to be playing big minutes. Gordon, in particular, should be shut down to protect him from injury. Hopefully both can be used for off-season filler in a big trade, otherwise, Schroeder should just expire. Gordon, of course, will still be played next year as long as he is healthy until traded. Is there a deadline for playoff eligible for released players?

I honestly do not believe Green should be starting.

But if he does start, then he needs defenders like Tate to back stop him.

While Green has improve as 1v1 defender, he is still a liability on switches.

If this was a box and 1 defense with Green as the on ball defender, then you can start him with the unit you suggested.

Actually any zone defense would help Green immensely and you can play more 3ball shooters with him who are not as strong on defense.

 

Is it time to give up on KPJ since people like Dennis more now?
