I agree they both are close in terms of basketball skills and both seems weak mentally (IG diva vs dumb hothead). Having a coach like Silas in a quest for losing is not exactly a good place to compare them, but one thing we can already assess, is that they can't co-exist in a winning team.
I had to make it super small to even fit KPJ on the page. This is already with every guard filtered out who didn't play 50 games. KPJ is 75th among guards. And don't get me started on turnovers and advanced stats. He may have had a few decent games recently, counting stats - wise, but he is detrimental to an NBA team's success.
Rather have a hot head that can shoot and play both sides of the court than a diva that runs hot and cold and never even tries to play defense. Green can go if there is a return worthy of him because Porter can play the spot better already anyway.
I watched that game, as well. And if you go back KPJ was being picked all game giving Quickley an advantage. As I stated during that game, the center is suppose to step up to slow the player coming off the pick. The very next game, Sengun was trapping the player coming off the pick. A lot of what FANS COMPLAIN about on this form arouse from coaching, not the players.
Goodness, how delusional must you be and how little are all your KPJ stan takes worth if you actually believe KPJ is 6th in TS% among SGs in the NBA.
LOL now the KPJ stans are saying it's Sengun's fault that KPJ gets destroyed by a backup guard. Can't make this **** up.
If you look the better teams in the league, none have a true POINT GUARD. Not Milwaukee, not GS, not Denver, not Boston....none of them! So why do we think we need a true PG?? A true PG is mostly needed when a team has a dominant post presence, to get him the ball and to get the ball to shooters. We dont have any of those! Sengun is a one way player, KJM is not a good enough shooter and Jabari is shown to be avg thus far. All we have is Green and KPJ who can score on a regular basis. We need better players around Green and KPJ.
Well, you have both now. Green isn't a diva, he is just not really bright. A big who thinks he has handles like KD shooting fadeaways and 3s all day. You got the whole gang. The French dude is missing or another guard who is out there to score.
I just want a player that is quicker to make decisions and adds to more ball movement. This would also correlate with a different coaching system. This is all doable and likely was left like this to lower the team's winning %. KPJ would seemingly excel off the bench with another ball dominant guard that would set him up with open set shots where he excels at.
Or more realistically, can't they both be decent-but-flawed young players without people being like "this guy is definitely the franchise player for the Rockets and nobody else on the team will ever be as good"?
This is more than fair. Watched them couple of years now and forget to look at the whole picture. My frustration is getting the better of me. Thank you for responding.
Sadly you and I see the thing. I hoped Green is just a diva stage and would out grow himself but being dim something that never goes away. Trading him NOW is essential while his value is at its best. The next coach is not going to let the inconsistency and lack of defense get the playing time needed to sustain his current stats.
