Exactly....in a team full of raw talent at every position (except whatever EG is)
we find it baffling that KPj is drawn and quartered in front of a firing squad
    and not allowed to progress.

Ideally we Rockets fans would like Jalen Green with a vet like SGA
    or
KPj with a vet like Bradley Beal

.....but we don't have that luxury.

Eric Gordon has always been a dribble the ball off his feet guy.

The reason I defend KPj so much is because Sengun fans have
    Sengun on a pedestal. Senguntopia

If they fry KPj and get him out.....the thirst for blood won't end.
They will turn on Jalen Green next.

I'm of the opinion, Jalen Green is and will be the Main Event!!

KPj helps Jalen right now carry much of the guard duties and responsibilities....
because Jalen isn't completely ready. Is just an act of buying time as all these
players are doing. Learning. If IPj gets better great. If KPj doesn't get better....
    Hello Wembanyama.

What's the rush? Oh yeah, Sengun could be MVP this year. Sure.

I love how kpj stans merge him with Jalen Green in every single discussion to shield their boy, lmao.

With or without Sengun, KPJ is just painful to watch at point guard.

Some of the other painful to watch players on my list are Shake Milton, Collin Sexton, RJ Hampton, Luguentz Dort, Gary Trent Jr and the list goes on and on.

As you can see it has nothing to do with Sengun. All these players have something in common, and that is lack of basketball iq. You may enjoy watching them but their basketball on the court disgusts me.

I can't speak for everyone, but my history shows I'm wanting the
dueling banjos as that's the way the NBA is going.

It's a guard driven League as the rules are geared in their favor.

The days of the center spearheading the team went way of the dinosaur.

I said Denver would lose in the first round....they did.

I said Joel Embiid and Harden would clash....if they get past
    the 1st rd....out in the 2nd rd.

    Dual guards:
    LaMelo/Rozier (Hornets)
Cade/Ivey (Pistons) I was high on Ivey pre draft
    Curry/Poole (Warriors)
    Trae/Murray (Hawks)
    Smart/Derrick White (Celtics) Smart/Brogdan (current)
    Garland/ Donovan Mitchell (Cavs)
Haliburton/Mathurin (Pacers) I was high on Mathurin pre draft
    Harden/Maxey (76ers)
    Fultz/Cole Anthony (Magic)
    SGA/Giddy (Thunder)
    Conley/Jordan Clarkson (Jazz)
    De'Aaron Fox/ Davion Mitchell (Kings)

Teams will be moving more towards combo guards. It's what wins in the playoffs.
Teams are looking for Dame/McCollum but better defenders/bigger.
Green/KPj listed at 6'6" (maybe they are maybe they ain't)

If they are extraordinary on O like Trae/Curry.....they bring better defenders as a must.

I'm guessing you are new here.....you don't know me

My man, listing every single backcourt in the league doesn't make them combo guards or doesn't make it a recipe for the success neccesarily. That being said almost all of these backcourt duos have at least 1 good/great playmaker/creator while the Rockets don't. So even if you think combo guard approach is the way to go for the success, kpj/jalen duo ain't one of them. Replace KPJ with Lamelo, Cade, Curry, Poole, Trae, Garland and you have a case but that's not happening with kpj.

It's always like that. People project their negative feelings of delusional fans of the player to the player himself. That's what's happening with KPJ and Sengun on this board.

Every cause has some extremists who weaken the legitimacy of their cause by going overboard, making it look more stupid than it would have been.

When you said people putting a serviceable player on a Pedestal, are you referring to Porter or Sengun?

Just wanted to make sure I understood.

This has so much incorrect rhetoric.

First, the league isn’t a guards league it’s a jumbo wing game.

The best players in the league outside of Steph are Forwards and Centers.
    Giannis
    KD
    Jokic
    Embiid
    Luka
    Steph
    Tatum

Secondly, the majority of the teams you listed are lottery bound teams. And the ones that aren’t are running multiple big lineups for most part.
You’re conflating the league with GS way of ball. They are one of the only teams that truly run small ball and guard heavy lineups without a true big.

    That's what it takes.

One rim protecting big that can defend the perimeter....with those facilitators
    Capela (Hawks)
    Robert Williams (Boston)
    Jarrett Allen (Cavs)
    Mark Williams (Hornets)
    Looney (Warriors)
    Duren (Pistons)
    Myles Turner (Pacers)
    Bam Adebayo (Miami)......with Lowry/Butler
    Jared Vanderbilt (Jazz)
    Chet Holmgren (Thunder)

You don't have to take my word for it.

Teams are wanting the mobility, versatility, athletic big man with
2 facilitator interaction. Surrounded by 3 & D players that can dribble
twice and pass again. Ball sharing ball movement.

    Celtics as an example: starters
Marcus Smart (3 & D facilitator getting 7.7 assists this year)
Derrick White or Brogdan ( 3-pt shooter + facilitator getting about 3 assists)
    Jaylen Brown (facilitator + 3 & D player)
    Tatum (facilitator + 3 & D player)
Robert Williams (screen setter + 3 & D rim protecting, shot blocker, run the court)

    I envision that similar model:
    KPj (facilitator + 3 & possible D player....see last night)
Green( facilitator + 3 & D player.....has all the tools to be a good defender)
Cam Whitmore (drafted) (6'7" Marcus Smart facilitator / defender)
Tari (3 & D player....dribble twice & pass or take it to the rack)
Jabari (3 & D player....dribble twice & pass or take it to the rack

*I will allow Sengun to play against:
    Embiid
    KAT
    Vucevic
    Stephen Adams
    Valanciunas
    Jokic
    Zubac
    Nurkic

    [Jabari guarded Ayton well.....8 pts (12/02/22) ]

I need Sengun for a whopping 8 teams during the season.....or maybe I use Bruno.

When you see it more and more, remember you heard it from me.

Mark my words....this kid is going to be a beast in the NBA

You can't convince any KPJ stans to a logical conversation. They are something else.
Meanwhile any country called "stan" at least once governed by Turks. There is no stan country in the world was free of Turkish control througout the history. Thus KPJstan will be governed by Alpi, it is certain.

Surprise, surprise, surprise you and I disagree.

I know, you are not a believer in position-less basketball.

    Don't care.

    Incoming players:
    Wembanyama
    (joining) Chet
Scoot (combo guard posing as a PG)
    Amen Thompson (6'7")
    Nick Smith (6'5")
    Auscar Thompson (6'7")
    Cam Whitmore (6'7")
    Dillion Mitchell (6'8"....15 pts...11 rebs )
    Anthony Black (6'7")

Influx of players will be asked to score, shoot, drive, pass, rebound, defend
interior and exterior as more and more teams have 5 shooters on the floor.

For the record I'm fine with
    1) Scoot Henderson
    2) Jalen Green
    3) KPj
    4) Tari
    5) Jabari
Next season. 5 three point shooters switching everything defensively.

Positions 1 thru 3 facilitating, passing, scoring, defending, rebounding, running the floor.

KPj accepting a lesser role within a 3-guard lineup.....3 combo guards.

"Selective perception" is the correct description.
    Meanwhile next year starters:
    -Scoot/Amen
    -JGreen
    -Tari
    -Jabari
    -Sengun

    bench:
    -KPJ
    -KJM
    -A,Bona
    -Garuba
    -Bruno
    -Josh
    -TyTy

If Scoot and Bona can not be drafted, cap shoud be used to sign one guard and one PF.

    Sorry Kelly.

The only way KPJ and Leader are in the same sentence, is when you're talking about turnovers.

The art of how to not execute pick and roll by Kevin Porter Junior..

Shake Milton is completely smoked by screen. KPJ dribbles, Sengun rolls. KPJ and Sengun has 2 on 1 against Embiid. KPJ has 2 very good 1 good and 1 horrible option here. KPJ can
a)attack to the rim with his strong hand. (VERY GOOD)
b)attack left and pass the ball to Sengun once Embiid closes out on him. (VERY GOOD)
    c)pull up shot (GOOD)
d)step right (even tho he's left handed), wait for Milton to come back on defense (such a nice guy) then dribble right into Embiid and Sengun with no plan (high basketball iq) and proceed to turning the ball over. (HORRIBLE)

This guy doesn't know how to execute pick and rolls which is a default feature for any point guard at age 12. He may be the president of the USA one day but he can't be a point guard.

Welp he is a starting guard on the Rockets and will likely be for at least 130 more games, so better hope he gets better or you can simply whine and b**** and moan your way to sleep every night.

I cringed in the game when he did this, and I did it again seeing it now.

    WHAT IS HE DOING.

I mean clearly this is not happening because kpj is lacking overall talent. He just doesn't possess the point guard skills and instincts that any point guard in junior leagues does.

He is an iso heavy high volume bench player at best.
