Can you imagine this place if Udoka trots out KPJ at lead? LOL he'll go from being the next Phil Jackson to on par with Stephen Silas!!

 

Udoka was the only dude I thought might be able to get through to him. Was hoping for a change last year. Didn't happen. Maybe this year will be different. I would still PKG him with the 4 or 20 to move up, but if Udoka thinks he should stay then he stays. Hopefully this year it won't be the same ish.

 

Udoka is no dummy....he knows KPj will be a beast if you
surround him with 3-pt shooters.

The fact that Udoka can play KPj at any one of PG, SG and SF
is a luxury that Ime will try to exploit. Even he comes off
the bench and get starter minutes as a primary backup
to Harden-Green-Cam Johnson. Swiss army knife.

I can only pray that Henderson learns how to shoot the 3 point shot at least Murray was a 40% 3pt shooter in college so you had some sort of confidence with him in that type of role. I'd be fine with us trading down and getting Taylor Hendricks.

 

KPJ is one of the 4 players on the roster that has all star potential. He us signed at a value rate on a flexi contract. I like him but really want the ball in his hand when he is looking to score. Perfect option for 6th man this year.

 

You know me, I would start KPj at the 3 just like when we had
CP3 with Harden. Or Harden with Westbrook. They (KPj) come out
after the first 5 minutes and then KPj becomes super sub there after.

Hot hand keeps playing in the fourth quarter.....or as need dictates.

I'm all about competition and I'm bringing in Cam Johnson probably
making more than KPj salary of $18M with the bonuses.

But I'm ok with a sub coming off the bench making $18m (KPj)
or Cam Johnson coming off the bench at ?25m?

Warriors were so good bringing Iguodala off the bench. David Lee
off the bench making big money at the time.

Luxury of Houston being so far below the salary cap.....plus money
to get to the first apron while many players currently on rookie contracts.

Taylor Hendricks would definitely help Sengun turn into a version of Jokic who in turn would only catapult the rest of the roster if we assume Sengun follows in the same footsteps. Sengun kicking to Jabari, KPJ and Hendricks should be money (assuming Jabari regains his form). Jalen would then have all the room in the world to get to the rim. It is one of those under the radar moves that inspires confidence in the guys you identified in years past as worthy of those draft slots. On that note its not just Hendricks even though he's my guy - it would work with Brandon Miller, Jarace Walker. I could probably convince myself that Leonard Miller at 20 could satisfy some of the same issues for this team even though his 3pt shot is still a work in progress. I could still see a world where Houston takes either Henderson or Thompson high and can still insert the archetype (length, defense, outside shooting) to help the nucleus at #20.
