KPJ: Can someone explain to me why he has become Clutchfans favorite whipping boy?

If KPJ is as good and as impactful as his fans claim, shouldn’t he have been making the game easier for the likes of Green and Sengun?

KPJ has amazing moments but overall is pretty frustrating to watch and hinders the development of the rest of the team. If we don't get Wemby I'd be ecstatic together a real pg like Scoot.

These stats show that there is definitely an argument to be made for minimizing his primary ball handler role at a minimum in favor of getting Alpi and others more touches.

I said after the minny game - did Jalen and Sengun blow up like everyone thought because KPJ was out? To call out the hypocrisy and STUPIDITY of the narrative.

Let me give you another example we lost to Minny 113-104 the other night and the NARRATIVE was we played SHITTY defense.

Tonight we won 119-114, we actually gave up MORE points - the narrative - we competed and TRIED harder.

When the ONLY TRUTH is we SHOT THE BALL BETTER........that is what has happened all year, we don't make shots often enough, but narrow minded people are blaming people like KPJ when the truth is it takes time to learn to play together.

In the Bulls game KPJ had 36, Green had 24, Sengun had 25 and we won - and they all were efficient - THAT IS WHAT this whole experiment is about getting to THAT type of game more often.

Hell it took LEBRON, WADE, and BOSH more than a year to figure out how to play together correctly, let's give these 22, 20, 20 and 19 year olds time to figure it out....and hopefully with a proper coach.

I am sure this will go over many people's heads......that is the way of the internet these days......sigh.

I don't mind them - I want to break up the narrative of it being KPJ's fault, by calling out the hypocrisy, why is no one saying now that Jabari is out we win?

    :)

We need to give all these guys time, and a better coach....most of the people looking to place blame are like "Simple fixes" guys and not really thinking things deeply enough.

KPJ significantly lowers the ceiling for the Rockets. Yes there are times where Jalen and our other players look terrible and KPJ looks better, but in those moments the Rockets aren't winning crap anyway.

When KPJ is your 1st, 2nd, or 3rd best player, you are never going to be true contenders. Therefore there is no point trying to develop him into being one.

Need to let Jalen and Sengun fail or succeed as the top players on the team. That is the route to serious contention.

i was a fan of kpj the season we traded for him. but since then he’s morphed into a me first selfish little b!tch on the court and sorry i absolutely don’t see him working out with this group unless he has a drastic change of character between now and april. can’t even see him sticking as a sixth man because he refuses to make basic bball 101 plays like advancing the ball and hitting the open man on time

I think you need more time for him and the others to figure it out.

Everyone is better with that selfish scrub out. Only a select few idiots are too stupid and stubborn to admit he sucks

    Since kpj been out.
    Sengun career high
    Smith career high
    Green career high 2x

Must b some weird coincidence that our players are doing better without the head honcho running the offense

It's really easy to figure this out.

Whenever someone else gets going KPJ usually takes over and shoots the next 10 shots. It's like he's in some sort of competition.

I have observed this as well. And Silas supports it by taking the person who was hot out and sitting that person for a long time, while leaving KPJ in.

I am not sure he can do it as much as he wants anymore.
He had a good challenge and good Alpi defense pairing last night. Didn't start 4th in tanking mode also. Unexpected good decisions from Steph.Impressed.

    Troll Philosophy:
The Rockets lose with Jalen Green on a good night: "Trade the guy as long as he has a high market value."

The Rockets win and show that KPJ is a "brick in the neck" for the development of the team:
"We need to give all these guys time..."
