Do the Rockets offense look better going through Sengun yes - Is that offense easily shutdown once teams pack paint while focusing on Sengun (yes)

As good as he is in the post, he gives it right back if not more on the other end .. unfortunately Jalen and KPJ do also

Which is why you need competent shooters outside instead of guys like Green or Smith. You can't cheat off of guys who can shoot.

LOL - if you watch or ever played basketball you can see that KPJ has way above average talent and has a good BBall IQ....he is no Gerald Green or a number of other dumb players from the league.

People just don't like that he is taking the shine from any number of their favorite players and it is sad really, because they are missing the BIRTH of a STAR player right in Houston.

Yeah I like him on twitter. He's one of the rocket accounts I follow over there and I generally enjoy the stuff he writes.

Well of course KPJ is hitting his shots according to his past 14 games midway thru the season and in his fourth season he should be way more comfy than his sucky teammates

The offense should be ran thru who they highly invested in being those top two picks for the rebuild inclusive with Sengun and the other 1st round picks also inclusive with the young player they traded a 50th or so pick for because no quality team was offering nothing of value for the ultra talented combo guard

Smith and Green are going thru a rough patch shooting and the best way to get out of a funk is to keep letting it fly

You make it seem like Green is avg 10ppg, hell I see why you are so triggered seeing he avg almost 20ppg in losses and nearing 30ppg in wins(rounded off), Green is either going to make you look like smart guy or a fool, its all on him

Smith will be fine as well as long as he stays at it and puts in the work

Thing is at the park your five is the starters no matter what level, which is why you probably were in the sucky tier and they probably picked on you and told you that you are garbage and should stick to playing football/baseball after you told them you are not really a basketball player

I hope none of your kids play basketball(if you have any) and are avg to suck level because you would be ready to fight all parents who would talk about them like you do the young high draft picks, or maybe you are silly enough to belittle your own for sucking at a sport

Green and Smith are the franchise players and its up to them playing well for the Rockets to win because the past 14 games best player can't have that Milwaukee flash(in the pan)back moment no more, which should be easy for the said best player with a sucky support cast

Just trading dialogue with someone who was probably very avg at playing the game at the park and probably was the last person picked because nobody else was available

but if you feel that, appreciate the heads up

I'm one of the biggest Jalen Green fans; but I would have to agree with you.
Jalen Green has been struggling where KPj has been taking more of a back seat
lately has more or less gotten his act together in the past 10 games.

+/- can be deceptive. Coaches can often try to help by putting the better players
in the rotation around said struggling player.

If Green came out of his funk......the coach could then shift said better players
around a then struggling KPj more often.

I still think Green is going to get his second wind. Just not use to absorbing
so much contact this season. He will probably add another 8 pounds this
off-season and be better equipped next year. Challenging for scoring
    championships every year thereafter.

I make it sound like Green is a scrub, because Green right now, is a scrub. He's currently scoring a lot of points because he'll chuck as much as it takes to get there, but on a better team, he might already be benched.

Like, if you just gave the Warriors Jalen Green, he might not play at all. Klay, Curry, and Wiggins start, and the Warriors require players to either play some defense or be able to shoot and Jalen can't do either.

Now I'm not saying he can't one day turn it all around, anything is possible, but right now both Jalen and Jabari are just terrible players for the NBA level.

I know you think you have to keep playing through players simply because high draft picks were wasted on them, but better teams reward the players who can actually play and require players to earn playing time.

    A scrub is 10ppg not 20+, rather 20 or 27 yrs old

You keep saying right now, well right now the Rockets priority is a rebuild with the two lottery picks as the main ingredients with Sengun, and with the upcoming selection, that is the right now and later

If Lamb can get some burn with Golden State along with Kuminga a and Wiseman then Kerr would find a way to get Green some minutes and easy buckets for your so called sucky player

You keep hedging your bet by saying one day they may turn it around, its a facade, you want them you to fail based on who you wanted them to draft originally

Are you rating them against their 19-20 yr old group or established NBA vets?

I don't think you have to play those high draft picks, I know you do because you are building from ground zero so you can't compare this supreme rebuild to better teams who have multiple all star established vets with coaches who play to their players strengths and coach according to players ability and not what they did elsewhere with diff individual talent, or trying to force a inferior player to mimic vastly superior players they thrived with in their same offensive coaching scheme

That is silly to do, which is why I know you sucked at playing basketball

A team that is on avg 22 or so yrs old has no earning of playing time, they all should be playing to see who you are going to keep for the long haul, because they are all going to make plenty of mistakes, just make sure you are always in their ear preaching the things to do right etc

And then if they start throwing stuff or being confrontational with the staff or quitting during games etc then you make them earn playing time after bringing back from suspension

The fact that you think low efficiency chucking is good might suggest you don't know what you are talking about.

Scoring 20 points per game with a TS% under 53% means that you're hurting your team by selfishly chucking. Quite a lot of nba players could score 20 a game if you let them shoot 18 times a game... it's simply not an accomplishment, it's an indictment.

Give Gary Bird 18 shots per game and he'll get you 20 points... to the detriment of your team.

Seriously, are you new to sports as a concept? This is day 1 type stuff

I think after harden left, double d needed to find a replacement so he latched onto this inferior harden impersonator and is coping real hard.
