Just repeating something does not make it true.

Through 33 games, Porter is averaging 8.1 assists to 5.2 turnovers per 100 possessions, according to Basketball Reference. That's a worse ratio than last season (9.4 assists to 4.8 turnovers).

As a team, the Rockets are last in assists (21.7 per game) and 29th in assist percentage (55.1), per NBA.com. They're also last in turnover percentage (17.1).

Interesting tidbit apparently there's an NBA rumor article titled
NBA Rumors: Rockets 'Not 100% Convinced' Kevin Porter Jr. Is a Starting PG

He still has value in our tanking process. Any outside value from other teams must be squashed.

Three out of the last four games he has looked confident in his play. Shooting 45 percent in December. His turnovers have come down a bit and his free throw shooting has gone from 66 percent in November to 82 percent in December

The team want to get team assists rather than just one guy setting up all the shots. The team directly above us is Dallas in assists, we know Luka runs the offence there all the time. There really isn't much difference from last in assists to say 20th which is Harden and Philly, it is only 3 assists difference.

21.6 assists this season compared to when we had Harden and Westbrook 21.7

fun fact, the first season we had Chris Paul, we averaged less assists than we do this season

All KPJ needs is for his teammates to start hitting more than 40% of their shots....when the 2 main other scorers in Jabari and Green are bricking, pretty tough to go at it, KPJ vs world.....Sengun has been the most reliable assist for KPJ lately.....now we need to get Jabari to remember he isn't a bust.

IIRC, Jabari has missed 7 straight shots setup by KPJ....all wide open or lightly covered.

Then why can green have more assists per time of possession than KPJ?

You know what's sad. With the amount of more minutes KPJ has the ball in his hands compared to Green, Green still has more assists towards Sengun than KPJ and I am willing to bet the amount of times Green found KPJ for a bucket is similar to KPJ finding Green for a bucket even though KPJ dominates the ball so much more.

Also KPJ has never even had a scoring efficiency season higher than Green's rookie year.

Porter first 33 games last season was a greater struggle.....but he cleaned things up to get those numbers you are posting.

Go first 33 games of both season, 100 possessions

LOL so shooting under 40% from 2 and under 30% 3 now means you are efficient?

Who knew Steve Francis was efficient all these years LOL.

KPJ has shot better but for some reason he gets all the grief how the heck does that make sense?

Most of the NBA was inefficient that does not make him more efficient than KPJ.

I mean shot profile really matters in terms of efficiency. Hence ts% and efg%.

    And that means what?

Just look at the names in top 20 for that stat and tell me how bad those guys are.

What the hell does this have to do with anything, did Billups have a better shot profile?

One of those names is not like the others. Actually, looking at the list a little closer, Jordan Poole is pretty mid this year. The rest of the list are stars who play efficient basketball, despite the turnovers.

Worse. Everyone during Billups era had worse shot selection. Hence why league average efg% and ts% have gone up since.
