well, you forgot an entire divison. you need to add chicago, minnesota and detroit to that mix. anthony thomas played horrible this year for the bears.

i think davis should be back in washington. i mean, they are a legetimate contender, and who do they have without him?

will the rams make bulger or warner available?

apparently the Rams are not in the pretty position we all thought they would be.

Rams doctors have stated they don't think Bulger can last a full 16 game season (with the injuries he sustained this year).

With Warner's questionability, they suddenly need both guys back.

Det: needs a rb, but not a contender
Chi: Depends on how they view A-train
    Minn: Bennett established himself
    GB: Ahman Green is king

I read an article a couple of days ago that said that Warner, and Martz are on the outs with each other.

Martz is upset at some comments that Warner's wife made on a radio station in St Louis. He was even more upset that Warner has not appologized to him, and Warner has gone as far as to say that he would have no problem playing for another team next year.

If I can find the link to the story I'll post it later.

As for the Cowboys ... I think they definately need to bring in a vet QB however a I also think they need to draft one of the top QB's in this years draft. They have an excellent shot at Leftwich although they may need to trade up to one of the top 3 spots if the want Leftwich.

The Texans might not be a bad partner to trade with if Dallas ends up with the #5 pick.

I heard Brenda Warner's radio comments. She said Martz and the organization discouraged Kurt from getting x-rays for his injury. Her, being a nurse, was the one who forced him to have them done. She said that Martz doesn't really care about Warner or his well being.

I don't know why Martz would get upset. Its not like Kurt said them, it was his wife. Why should he apologize for his wife's actions? Why would Martz get upset about them to the point of parting ways with him? That would be plain foolish on his part.

Here's the article I read on Warner.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Martz, Warner harbor hard feelings for each other
    By Bernie Miklasz
    01/03/2003 07:09 PM

I had a chance to visit with Rams coach Mike Martz for two hours last Sunday. And it's obvious to me that there are sore feelings between Martz and quarterback Kurt Warner.

And I disclose this with the hope of making their relationship better.

Martz told me he was hurt when Warner did not apologize after his wife, Brenda, called a radio station to question Martz's honesty over an order to have Kurt's hand X-rayed. And to this moment, both the coach and QB have different versions about who ordered an X-ray.

Martz continues to be sensitive about Warner's health. He told me that he fears that Warner damaged a rotator cuff by changing his throwing delivery to compensate for hand injuries, and that the team will tell Warner to undergo an MRI. (That makes sense; why not get everything checked out?)

Martz also told me that Warner hasn't been the same in terms of throwing the deep ball since spraining his right thumb in the 2001 season opener at Philadelphia.

I was unable to reach Warner, who is vacationing. But he has told Channel 5's Mike Bush that he believes that he has lost Martz's support. And this week, Warner told Channel 5 that if given a choice, he'd rather move to another team to start elsewhere instead of remaining with the Rams as a backup. Martz told me that the Rams would consider trading Warner, but that Kurt would need to restructure his contract to make that happen.

I would be really surprised if Dallas goes after slash. I think Hutchinson will be ok with another year of experience. Dallas has many more needs than at QB. Namely a RB if Emmitt won't work cheap, a WR (to go along w/ Bryant & Galloway, sorry Rocket isn't coming back), a TE, and about 3 O-linemen (Allen & Guorde are the keepers).
Also on D a CB is needed, I suspect they'll take one with their 1st round pick.
Again just my $.02 but Hutchinson is the QB for one more year (to see if he can do it), Emmitt restructures a 2 year deal, Dallas drafts a CB in the 1st, and pursues Keyshawn Jonson and a couple OL-men.

I have to dissagree about the QB position in Dallas. There is no bigger need on the Cowboys than QB.

We all know that Quincy is garbage. Hutchinson has the physical tools (6'5" 220lbs, strong arm) however he has mastered the art of fumbling the ball. He also has Zero pocket presence. One of the first things Parcells said when talking about the QB position is that he needs a QB that will not turn the ball over, and will get the ball in the end zone ... Hutch hasn't even come close to matching either of those categories.

I also don't think Parcells is going to give Hutch the starting position (even if it is for only 1 more year) just to see If he can be the guy. Parcells wants to win now, and Hutch doesn't give the Cowboys the best chance to win now.

I have a feeling that Dallas will trade up in the draft (from #5 into the top 3) and select Byron Leftwich. Parcells will then also bring in a vet QB, and both Quincy and Hutch will either be traded or cut. Leftwich is the 2003 version of Bledsoe (a darker version of course).

How could you tell that, he barely had an O-line in front of him?

I have faith in Hutchinson, but if we could get a talented experienced QB I'm all for that (Warner, Brunnell, Plummer) but I woudl be surprised to see us draft a QB.

If Parcells is looking for a quick turnaround (2 years) then he needs stability and Hutchinson would be 7-8 games farther along that Leftwich. I would love to get Byron though he throws a great ball!

Wasn't the Cowboys' line supposed to be one of the best in the league at the begginning of the year?

Was it all injuries, or was it lack of skill that turned them to trash?

    Larry Allen got hurt
    Guorde was a rookie
Both tackles are fat and lazy
And everyone else just weren't very good

Supposedly Allen may be moving back to tackle next year, and we'll franchise one of the tackles (probably Flozell), still have Guorde at C/G, then look for some FA help at guard.

    Spurrier is a freaking idiot.

The Redskins won all their games that Davis Rushed the ball 25 or more times......think Genius boy would just try and win and not prove a point right.....wrong.

I tell you what. For as much as I loath the the Cowpatties, I hope to all hell that they pick up Davis. At least the Cowboys have figured out how to use a Running back...much less a running back who all but lead the league in rushing 2 of the last 4 years.

It would serve Steve "Let me hire all my old Crappy Gator players who no one else wants and prove all those other coaches wrong" Spurrier right.

By the way. Think Spurrier got the hint that all his ex gator players sucked just like all the other coaches figured out at least by the mid point of the season? Nope. Even with the collosal failure of Shane Matthews, Riddell Anthony, Jaquez Green, Danny Woahful, Chris Doehring, and the other Ex Gator they signed at the begginning of the season; with the season over halfway done, Spurrier had to pick up Willie Jackson. The same Willie Jackson who was cut from the Falcons. In turn the Skins proceeded to cut Willie Jackson in less than 4 weeks.

Spurrier is the most ignorant coach I have ever witnessed for the life of me. This is the same guy who claimed basically "We dont Need Bledsoe, we will win the NFC East with Danny Waffle as our QB"

I believe Corey Dillon would only cost a few draft picks right now.

True all of those sacks were not his fault however many of them were.

Quincy sucks a$$ but at least he was able to avoid the rush a few times. Hutch holds on to the ball way too long and has almost no movement in the pocket (when he had one). I can't get the picture out of my head of Hutch standing there in the pocket with his arm cocked back (just standing there) while a defensive line is bearing down on him ... sack ... fumble ... TD the other way ...

Flozell deserves most of the blame however Hutch needs to be able to feel the rush comming ... he doesn't.
