So Cade is only working out for Detroit. The real question if who else is Detroit working out from among that top 3 or 4 prospects...
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck that. Giving up a first rounder next year in an even more loaded draft to move up one slot??? GTFOH. I'd actually start thinking about a trade down. Im starting to view this batch as marginally better than one another and falling short of next years crop. No way I give up a possible shot at another foundational piece next year to move up one single place.
I like Cade at #1 but don't believe his worth is far enough above those that follow to warrant giving up the farm for him.
Yeah I would do that... From my own Eye test, I do think Jalen green Is a different kind of cat. I’m really cool with either If it’s next year’s pick, it HAS to be top-five protected! I’d really prefer it to be about top eight protected! And I really don’t wanna come off pick 23 or 24. This draft is really deep To give context , From a value perspective, The value of the players that will be available at picks 23 and 24, are late lottery type prospects in a typical draft. If this was last year’s draft, You’re getting the same value as last year’s picks 10 through 15 That’s crazy We can come out like bandits on this draft

If Cade slides to #2 then Rockets need to move up to take 6'10 defensive freak Kai Jones. Or JT Thor. Even if Jalen Green is the pick, would like at least TWO of the following: Kai Jones, Jalen Johnson, Alperen Sengun, JT Thor
I really think Jalen Johnson is going to slide down to us. Teams are afraid to touch players with off the court issues. Similar to what happened to KPJ at USC. Jalen Johnson and JT Thor would be great pick ups at #23 and #24 respectively.
It took me less than 48 hours to go from “Thank God we made the top 4 and didn’t lose our pick” to “It’s unfair that we worked for the worst record and still didn’t get #1.”
BREAKING NEWS! Rockets wanted the #1 pick instead of the #2 pick. They felt that if they had the #1 pick then they would be able to get whatever player they wanted in the draft without having to compromise. They really like Cade among other players and if they had the #1 pick they could pick him.
