But not all gambles are the same. It’s like saying buying stock is a gamble. But I’d rather gamble on blue chips, rather than penny stocks.

History truly does repeat itself. This is trading Rudy Gay for Battier all over again. Same team and everything.

    Just take Reed.

If we do trade the pick and Reed becomes Fred, I’m pretty sure the rockets fans aint gonna let them forget it. But I agree with the prevailing sentiment that this is a crappy draft and I’m trying not to get too attached to the pick…especially because there’s a good chance the rockets trade it.

I also try not to believe anything I hear 3-weeks out from the draft.

Luke Kennard isn't an option. He was traded to the Clippers last week.

It's a function of how the system works.

Green makes a lot more than Sengun. Brooks males a lot more than Sengun. Doesn't make sense either. I don't care.

We have like 5 players returning from injury & we are adding Smart to that?

    I'd prefer the unprotected future 1st & 9th pick.
Then trade the 9th pick with Jeff Green & see what we can get.

    Or just draft Reed Sheppard.

Its all a figment of our imagination. If the Rockets have other suitors for pick 3 it gives Brooklyn more incentive to get a deal done with the Rockets now before they lose the #3 pick. I still think Mikal Bridges is a future Rocket. It just makes too much sense for both teams to get a deal done.

Center Jaren Jackson, Ja Morant should be the Target.

Jaren Jackson is fine with me. I can live with Jabari 's loss, even though I like him.
Ja is injured, and is possibly a superstar version of KPJ. I don't want him on the Rockets.

Memphis is the more reliable partner - see Adams deal.

Do not get to strung out on Mikal.

Ja and KPJ do not even belong in the same stratosphere.

Not to say that real violence is different than staged gun showings on videos.

I would think punching a teen during a pick up basketball game is considered real violence, and he had a trial regarding this. He or someone in his entourage also pointed a gun at Indiana Pacers players, this is not just him flashing guns on videos, comparing him to KPJ is not unreasonable. Although he did flash a gun on video, said he fixed himself, and then proceeds to do it again. I believe that is 4 incidences within a year, he would give KPJ a run for his money.

Trade down to #9 + player or picks. Draft Carter at 9 and instantly boost your defense. That's if hes still there at 9. Teams are fighting for Carter. No one is going ga-ga over Sheppard. He will not play over anyone anytime soon. Carter takes Holidays spot easily.

If he continues on the same path as KPJ yes of course, there is no future for him.

But I would still think he is 100x more talented than KPJ that it would be hard to keep teams away from giving him a shot.

My hunch is that this whole gangster agenda with Morant is more group based and that someone is in his ear.....but yeah.....it is still his mess at the end of the day.

WIth KPJ it is more his inner demons mostly. Both are incredibly reckless in their own ways.

Houston is said to always have a unique draft board. They might love Ron Holland, Kel'el Ware, or a bunch of guys.

If that is the case, trading the 3 for the 9, and also picking up Marcus Smart, is interesting.

Just spit-balling. I'd probably just draft whoever is there at 3. In Eli Witus we trust, and I am damn sure that Witus loves Mr. Sheppard...
