I hope to God not. One Christian Wood experiment was enough.

So there are people who would gladly trade #3 for Smart/Kennard/whatever low upside player is there at 9, but then scoff at #3 for Bridges?

The draft is a GAMBLE. Name me one player in this draft that's not a gamble?

Smart + Ime = Cs success. Cs, however, had shooters which Smart isn’t. And MS is now 2 years older.

So, no, be smart and don’t get Marcus for TheGoodGuys.

This, kid is going to be special. Can shoot lights out, plus defender, humble, high motor, oh yeah over 50% from fuken three
God I miss some of those early Harden days when the Rockets rained threes.

I’d rather have Reed Sheppard for 8 years than Mikal for 2

Even if we trade down to 14 with the Blazers and get Brogdon and perhaps another future draft asset is worthwhile
We can get an athletic center in Ware and secured a shooter who can defend

The target could possibly be Tidjane at 9 if we trade back

He’s been rising up draft boards

Sheppard will make more(2024 rookie scale) than everyone not named FVV, Brooks, or Adams. Does that make any sense to you for a player like Reed? Or anyone in this draft for that matter?

I would do this deal and try to find a solid PF in FA.

Morant is a true star level player.

Why don't you trust a GM who's successfully rebuilt this roster in 3 years.

I would trade #3 for Bridges. But they need to find other guys that can shoot in trades/FA.

I have it on good authority from CF that Reed Sheppard is a combination of Nash, Curry and CP3 with a more lethal shot, guaranteed HOF and best player on the roster day one.

I am freaking curious as hell what the Rockets are gonna do here. They want impact players not projects but some of these young bloods just shouldn't be overlooked in my opinion. Anytime you get to pick at the top of a draft, f'ing make that pick!!! Don't be stupid. Being in position to take the 3rd pick for most teams in the league is so damn rare. In fact, the more I think about it, the more I'm gonna be pissed if they don't just exercise that pick. Everyone else on the team is still a few years away from their prime. There is no rush here to win a Championship. Be smart. Take the BPA and keep building.

I take your point. I just don’t like soft, unmotivated players. But can’t deny the talent.
