I thought the way Battier handled it was great. It didn't change his game one iota. He stuck to him like glue all night long.
Maybe I was mistaken but after Sasha elbowed Battier's face, the ball was still in motion and Kobe drove past Shane and elbowed him while doing a drop step. I really wish I had a video of it.

Looks like Shane try to rise up while Kobe was underneath him. Anyone think balance and bending your knees to get up has to do with the situation? Unless anyone can stand up without using thier knees.
if you watch closely, When Kobe knee'd Shane in the face to satnd up...kobe pushes of his leg to stand but Shane also pushes off and it looks like Kobe loss balance and fell on shane again.
Just see the next action, anyone stand up with their elbow on others head?? that's no sense to advocacy for him, Shane is a man,and Kobe not.
So I turned on the TV to watch sports center about an hour ago. In recapping the game, they showed Kobes dirty play, even saying he was giving extra elbows and knees. So if they saw and admitted why in the hell don't they do anything. Kobe is sucking all their shlongs and vice verse. I hate Kobe dick riders!!
Shane showed some GREAT composure not falling for Kobe's bait. Kobe was probably trying to pick a fight with Shane to get himself fired up. By not responding to Kobe's crap, Shane pissed Kobe off more and maybe got him a little more flustered...if for a breif moment.
I thought the same thing. It was an amateur MMA move, especially compared to Joel Pryzbilla's arm bar on Yao.
