Kobe was tired and frustrated, and that was only what? the first or second quarter? that's all you got Kobe? that, and some stat padding there at the end. too little, too late. Somebody should at least address the incident.
The Rockets should definitely send that to the league asap. I can only imagine the repercussions if Artest had done that.

I thin the thing that got me even more upset was what Doug Collins said after the incident. "Now if your the Rockets you got to wonder if this is going to fire Kobe up, you don't want to do that." As if Shane started the whole thing and Kobe was going to use it as motivation. Shane made a smart play, Kobe was embarrassed because he was being lazy, so he reacted like a two year old.
Yall let me know how someone is supposed to get up without moving their legs. Try it. lay down on your stomach and get up without bending your knees.

If it was just an awkward rise from being on the floor I think fans would forgive. But the elbow, and the angry nature once at a standing position is what sells the intent on the play, and why fans are legitimately upset.

ehhh, looking at the .gif that is nowhere near enough for a suspension... the knee he was just getting... the elbow looked more intentional, but wasn't nearly hard enough for a suspension. thats just a cheapshot that probably happens all the time throughout the course of a game.
Put Artest on him and in the same position and see if Kobe does the same. The knee you can fake and say it was an accident or he did it trying to get up, but how do you throw an elbow like that while getting up? That's just sad. Nice screen capture.
