I cant write, you can't read, i guess we're even...

I dont udnerstand why you're still arguing with me when we pretty much have the same point. THE LEAGUE WILL FIND A REASON NOT TO SUSPEND KOBE.

I doesnt matter why i think he held on to the ball and it doesnt matter why you think he held on to it. We're not the ones handing out punishment.

I never said my way of looking at it was what really happened, but it gives the league a reasonable explanation to excuse the play and not suspend kobe.

I think he won't be suspended b/c he's Kobe Bryant. You think he won't be suspended b/c he did nothing wrong. We do NOT have the same point.

No, its not a reasonable explanation b/c you still cant come up with a reason why he held onto the ball. You made an assertion and can't logically support it. And instead of ceding the point, you try to act like the whole topic is irrelevant.

    Absolutely pathetic...

This just shows how frustrated Kobe was. Good job Shane, I hope he is this frustrated in every game.

You know what, a supremely talented guy who is a bad sportsman is called an "ultra competitor" while an every day Joe is just called a sore sport or a jerk. This was bush league at its finest. Spiled, egotistical, a@@hole. Not sure yet that we cabn deliver on the upset, but boy do I hope we can. The thought of us being the ones that urinate on "their" championship year amkes me all warm and gushy inside.

I expected that sort of play out of Kobe...What was shocking is that it happened so early in the game. It's obvious he was trying to piss off Shane, and maybe get him out of his game.

    It didn't work. ;)

On the flip side of this think what would have happened had Ron done this to a Laker player. This would be run over and over....pretty much begging for a suspension.

    Is it fair? No

    Will we win.....Yep!

People say they wish it was Artest so Ron could beat up Kobe. Actually I think it was good that it's Battier. Shane taking the high road pissed off Kobe more than anything. If Kobe was trying to play mind game with Battier with that cheap shot, it backfired. It was Kobe's mind that got screwed.

If it was Artest, it would turn into something personal with Ron and I am afraid Kobe would come out the winner.

Shane just laughed in his face. Imagine how much more crazy that made Kobe inside.

That was the moment in the game where Rockets fans realized that Houston was simply mentally stronger than LA.

The team has class epitomized by Shane but also Yao etc. They wont retaliate but to Shane it's just funny now that he knows Kobe has "Battier on the Brain."

Kobe deserved a flagrant, a T and a suspension but he'll get none of the above.

Ironically Kobe goes on to the press conference to b**** and moan about not getting more fouls shouts and the "physical play."

Easy - you wrote what I was going to write.
Battier is a great player, IQ smart, diplomatic, handsome - and just altogether cool!!! His smile is disarming enough!!! I hope RA keeps Battier on Kobe and Battier does not get hurt in the process.
I don't think Artest could keep his cool against Kobe - and we need Artest!!!
Funny - when I learned Kobe was not feeling well - I felt a bit sorry for him. He even looked pale to me. I will say again - the Rockets have class.
I was concerned at first that Artest was a bad addition to the Rockets, but he seems to have mellowed. I think his new teammates are having a positive influence on him.
I was so proud of the Rockets last night. When they are good - they are really really good! I want the same exact team next year - they can only get better.

Actually there's an easy way to take care of Kobe in that situation. Shane could've hooked Kobe's leg w/ his left arm and stood up and flipped Kobe on his back. But he's too classy for that stuff.

On the other hand, this is playoff basketball and you have to expect this kind of BS.

No way the league suspends its biggest cash rat. If anything, the Rockets should use this as motivation for Game 2! LET'S DO THIS
