Jordan didn't pass to Paxson if that's one of the shots you're referring to. He passed it to Pippen who panicked and hot potato'd it to Grant who panicked and napalmed it to Paxson.

That said, Kobe doesn't have a Steve Kerr, all time leader in 3 pt %. He has Fisher, but Derek has a slow release. It would have to be the right set up, a hard double on Kobe leaving Fisher in Siberia.

Actually, T-Mac has taken 32 potential game winning/tying shots since 03-04 season. Only made 9 but it seems like a lot of attempts for a guy that is scared to take the last shot.

No, thats not what I'm saying. You wanted to know where Lebron was "on that list" and he's isn't that far from Kobe when it comes to free throw percentage in clutch time. He also gets to to the line more during that time, creating more opportunities and putting more pressure on the opposing team.

It doesn't matter what his percentage is in the forth. Usually during the 4th quarter, Kobe is usually out of gas. I mean he isn't the young Kobe anymore. For Kobe to be playing at such a high level and be the best player in the NBA at over 30 years of age, he is doing great.

The term closer really meant is that he is probably the best closer in the game today. Sure his percentage may be horrible sometimes in the 4th but because he had hit so many big shots in the forth and because almost any team in the NBA would prefer Kobe to take the last shot for their team.

Yes, first hand experience is unreliable. How a guy reacts when he's being ruled by emotion and not thinking clearly doesn't mean as much as cold hard facts.

The point of the game is to get points. If a guy can go out there when the defense is geared to stop him and setup a good shot for a teammate with the game on the line, that's clutch.

Derek "0.4 seconds to shoot a turnaround jumper" Fisher has a slow release?

He had to get the shot off; its not like he was taking his normal shot.

I didnt see you posting when the Celtics won games 4 and 5, where were you? and btw at least 70% of the lakers fans are bandwagon fans, that only support them when they are winning.

and one time I read in the lakers forum that they blame the refs for losing in the 2008 finals, and in the finals against the pistons, and the lakers cry that the refs are against them most of the time.

    Horrific performance.

Thankfully for the Lakers, they benched Kobe for part of the 4th and dumped the ball to Gasol, who got to the line repeatedly.

Dont go talking any stats stuff about Kobe grabbing 15 boards.
Dont go opening that trap about how its easier to play with Kobe than Lebron.
Kobe tried to do a Jordan in the 1st half and HAD to have his teammates bail him out, for him putting his team down an almost insurmountable hole.

Phil Jackson's triangle takes the ball out of Kobe's hands, not Kobe.

    See Game 7 vs. Utah.

So what you've done is taken a stat and shown how meaningless they can be. "That list" is opinion only. Who do you want at the line and where is James on that list?
