Yeah Garnett, Duncan and Lebron are better, but the question was between Kobe and T-Mac who would you take? Kobe won the rings because of Shaq, I don't think that's a very good argument. Actually, if T-mac had been with shaq, they would have won 4 or 5 rings, and never would have lost. Why didn't the Lakers win last year? Because Detroit exposed the Lakers biggest weakness, which is Kobe's ego. Shaq was NEVER double teamed the entire series, Kobe was, but he STILL attempted more field goals in every single game, go check the stats. Had T-Mac been in taht situation, Shaq 1-on-1 against Ben Wallace would have dropped 60 and they would have another ring. This is because T-Mac is a TEAM player, and that's what you're looking for when you start a franchise. Kobe is the better individual player, but he doesn't want to work with others. He got Shaq and Phil outta town, he made his team worse! When he was talking about that whole Karl Malone thing and how it's unfair to his teammates to wait for Malone's decision, he said "Those guys are playing hard for me." He considers himself the team, and while it may be true, what does that say to his teammates? Why does Lamar Odom only get 10 shots a game? JVG and a terrible supporting cast are the reasons why the Rockets suck, it's not T-Mac. T-Mac stil does have to prove he can win in the playoffs, but I think that will come. Kobe is trying to win the Jordan way, and it won't happen, he's no Jordan.
I talked with my friends the other day and we came up with a consensus of opinion that, the only thing Kobe is better than TMac is his ego and on that issue, he is far ahead .
Anyone watching the Lakers vs Kings. Like Kobe or not. He's just way more aggressive and competitive than TMac. Tmac is only a jumpshotter compared to him.
Yup. Tmac plays like the kobe of several years ago. In terms of basketball alone, it's not really close now. Lebron and Tmac is years from Kobe. It's not just 1 or 7 games. If you have been watching Kobe, you should be able to pickup the differences. It's really not even close.
Kobe Bryant is the most overrated superstar in the history of basketball...a cheap Jordan ripoff who will never eclipse the truly greatest players in history (i.e. Russell, Chamberlain, Hakeem, Jordan, Drexler, M. Malone, Dr. J, Jerry West, et al).
I see your point! Really I can! Kobe is overrated because he's a cheap Jordan ripoff, and because he is overrated.
