Define "step up". If shooting more with lower percentage to get points should be called "step up" (That's OP's main proof), I guess it's easy to "step up".

Instead, I would call these "step up".
    1. Shooting more efficient and get roles going
    2. Clutch performance like taking the load down the stretch and getting the win
    3. Play lock down defense and hustle.

Sorry, I don't see TMac doing that, at least not consistently in playoff.

Nice spin attempt. I'm pointing to all of the seasons Kobe has not had a great supporting cast around him, and I am making that comparison. You keep dodging that question and it seems quite evident as to why.

No one said Kobe never played well in the playoffs. He helped a talented team get 3 rings and led another talented team to the Finals. Him having some success on those talented teams is clear as day. But it still doesn't address why he did jack when he didn't have a lot of help. It still doesn't address why he quit when behind the 8-ball, even though you somehow find that to be acceptable.

Next time do better at your deflection attempt....

you guys are all missing the point.

    why the hell is there:

    1. a thread about the playoff averages this early?

    2. why is kobe vs tmac? instead of Iverson or Vince Carter etc?

    3. was this provoked?

    4. the writer of the thread took some serious time looking up stats to where he found something that was favorable to exploit, like she's ugly but at least she could jump rope better than halle berry.

To me, this thread is simply about the desperation of certain fans here to feel validated somehow after years and years of failure.

Sure we didn't win anything, but we had more rebounds than you.

    Sad.

MJ was 1-9 without Pippen in playoff. Big deal.
Did I argue all day Kobe's a better player than MJ coz he had better playoff record without Shaq or Gasol?
If you want to make a point, make a meaningful point to begin with.

that's the other thing, when you say PLAYOFFS, its NOT ABOUT STATS, that's fantasy basketball

    Its about MOMENTS

Here are examples of what MOMENTS are:

    Isiah Thomas ON ONE LEG

    Jordan with a STOMACH VIRUS

    <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/5MR1HTy07HU&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/5MR1HTy07HU&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Willis Reed returning to the game with a bad leg

We can't resorted to poor logic so we can sleep better at night!

This topic fails the laugh test: Who would you rather have in a play-off series?

Please show me where anyone said T-Mac is better than Kobe. All anyone has said is everyone needs sufficient help to win.

    Again, take your own advice.

"If you want to make a point, make a meaningful point to begin with."

And you are still dodging my question, which the whole point revolves around.

I would rather have Kobe and it's not even close. Just make sure you get me some more help, because on teams void of significant talent, he has hit the lotto, blown a 3-1 lead and not made it out of the first....just like T-Mac.

So let me ask you this Icehouse?

Would you take Kobe over the 04-05 Tracy
    ?

Yep. When the game is on the line I wouldn't want anyone taking that last shot over Kobe or LeBron.

I'm not making a case for anybody on this, just a question I'm curious about.............

If McGrady was on the Lakers instead of Bryant from 2000-2002, do the Lakers still win 3 championships?

He clearly stated what he meant and he never said T-mac >>> Kobe. If you can't understand his point then too bad.

I don't think so. One for sure, but I'm not sure about three. Again, no one is saying T-Mac is better than Kobe.

I like this guy better. He's a hero. He's taken franchises higher, everywhere he goes.
