after the last preseason game where he just started the game chucking up a lot of bad shots and bricking a lot, and then after the game, he said his wrist is not right. he was WAYYYY off in that game and yet still chucked shots.

some ppl here are comparing to the vince situation in toronto.

and morey continues to shut this post down:

    from the chron:

"Yao and Tracy, you've got to start there," Morey said. "I think Tracy is the most talented player in the league. People talk about Kobe (Bryant) and stuff, but Tracy's got the most talent. I think in this system, all of his skills will come out. I'm excited to see how that will pan out. I think Tracy has gotten very comfortable. When you talk to him, he's got that twinkle: I'm ready to unleash once the season begins."

we just have to hope he is healthy. if he's healthy, he is simply the best all-around player. simply.

as long as patterson continues to manage his back, he slims down even more to 215 lbs, we'll see the return of the mac.

Here you go Morey. We don't need to destroy our team just to get Kobe.

If T-Mac was clutch, JVG would have a job. How many coaches must get axed?

Now that this has been ground into the dirt...how long before someone else starts talking about Kobe for Mac again...my bet is not long, not long at all. Probably after the 1st Rockets loss or the first game Mac doensn't shoot well. :D

if he gave tmac some relaxaction during a game, maybe his out of conditioned body last yr might have had some legs.

u do know he's not atlas carrying the world coming into camp the way he did last yr (just like morey said).

If more than 4 people could score in a playoff game, or shooters who made career highs in 3 pt fgs made in the regular season actually make those same shots in the playoffs...

Almu, I will hold you to that! No, I don't think this will happen, at all, but I'm covering the bases. Hey, you would sell out the TC! By yourself! Just a heads up... you might want to qualify your offer to members joining in March of 2002 or earlier. Just trying to save you some change! ;)

If TMac was clutch, he'd still be in Orlando and Weisbrod would have won GM of the Year at some point.

lets not let our hatred of kobe get in the way of the obvious...

Let me state the obvious here...

if the lakers came to us and asked us to trade Tmac + picks or players (less yao) for Kobe straight up, do you really think we would say, "no"? We would jump on that in a second. Besides that would never happen.

Kobe in houston would mean at least 2 rings. Some people may not like Kobe for his demeanor, but he is what he is...a clutch, money, championship player.

    tmac?
he is one of the most physically/skills gifted athletes to ever hit the hardwood. The problem with him is he never seems to work on his game. Maybe it's his back that prevents him from doing that, but I don't know. He's just no consistent and clutch in the playoffs, where it counts the most. Great in single games and the season doesn't really mean anything to me.

Kobe is 10x the player TMac at his BEST is.

Kobe is absolutely the best player in the NBA right now... Sure Kobe has issues, sure he is a cancer, but as long as his team is winning he is fine. Shaq and him had most issues when they started losing, while they were winning they were able to be "friends."

    I'd give TMac for Kobe w/out a 2nd thought.

oh really, if tmac was on the lakers right now instead of kobe, u think they get a better record or not? :D

he was 20-12 w/o yao last yr.

now REALLY, stop fallin in love w/ the 50+ pt games. he hasn't done jack w/o shaq.

and yao is nowhere near shaq's level on both sides of the floor. and the lakers had to squeeze out a few series when BOTH of them were playing at their best.

That's because of JVG. He made Mutombo and Juwan turn back the clock.

But who cares about regular season. TMac chokes when it counts most. That's why he's a virgin.
