So can playing for the Lakers, and generally just coming off as a trash-talking, cocky douche on the court.

Bryant sucks. So does James. They are great basketball players, though. They simply suck as human beings.

If Kobe wasn't so dominant, then maybe the Kobe haters would stop. Personally, I don't give a flying eff about the supposed rape. What bothers me about the guy is that he is hands down one of the best players in the league and yet he still plays the game. He screams like he's being stabbed if a player comes near him, he argues with the officials and nothing comes of it, he gets star treatment even though he really doesn't need it... the list goes on. The guy is damn talented, but sometimes I wonder if he put his head down and played how many more rings he'd have.

Plus, he's a Laker. The lakers are like the Yankees, you either love them or hate them.

My thoughts exactly. I don't care about athletes as role models.

If they can play the game, they're good for me.

Lebron is my most hated player right now and I'd love him and Kobe in Rocket Red and Silver.

I used to be the biggest Kobe hater ever. I'm a big Shaq fan so naturally I despised Kobe for what he did to the big man. In recent years, however, I have grown to not mind him that much. In almost every interview he does, he comes off as a cool, funny dude, and he doesn't try to make it sound like he's all that (*cough* MJ *cough*). I gained crazy respect for him after the toughness he has shown as he faced the challenge of old age. I still don't appreciate his style of play (I'm a Steve Nash kind of guy), but I have nothing but respect for what he has put on the court year in and year out.

LeQuit, on the other hand, is a different story. Spoiled, annoying ass immature prick who dances and tries to be all cool. Just STFU and play basketball you r****d, and oh, how about trying to win on your own instead of betraying your home town and becoming D-Wade's b****.

I mean seriously, who does this poser junk ... with a game going on?

I think I'd rather have the Rockets lose without Lebron than win with him. Kobe and Lebron can both be assholes but at least I can respect the way Kobe's approaches the game most of the time. Lebron thinks it's ok to dance during games and not shake hands after. I also can't respect his lack of a competitive nature by going to team up with Wade and Bosh. I would cheer for him if he was a Rocket but I'd hate myself a little for it.

he's a basketball player, and it's stupid to hate on that b/c he's been ridiculously good.

FYI - he's also more liked than lebron.
