If you want to judge people then judge people.

Kobe Black Member is a brand throughout the world.

Kids all over the world will vote for him because he is famous.

The Beard is only known within the NBA and Houston and not entirely all over the world.

Kobe got a legacy. Of course he is going to get votes.

You vent because you did not factor in the across the globe popularity of Kobe.

There is only so much the Houston community can do against the whole world of Mamba fans.

    Not entirely accurate.

Kobe's popularity expands throughout the whole world.

Kids especially around the world who can only watch New York, LA teams, Chicago on Television.

China does play a great role but you are sounding lazy if you do not factor in other countries.

Russians will vote for Kobe, South Africans will vote for Kobe, South and Latin Americans will vote for Kobe and so on

    Not necessary.

Get all the Clutchfans members to vote for 4 days, and Harden will be starting.

    Only 4 days.

You know who starts All Star games? Guys who have huge shoe deals that get them visibility in many countries. Nike's job is to make Kobe a hero in every country they sell Nikes in. You don't have to even watch the NBA in another country to know who Kobe is. James' biggest endorsement deal is with foot locker which is I believe only a North America thing. The all star game starters are about shoe companies getting their stars on a big stage to sell more shoes. It's not about basketball....

If a cricket player somehow made the ballot, they would start over Kobe and James!

From business Stand of point, he generate over 100 million a year, so he deserve to start at least in his final 2 years ( if he can stay healthy)

I'm almost 100% positive that Harden will magically get more votes than Kobe once it is time for the final tally.

makes sense... that and the Lakers have more games abroad for people to watch

And of course Jordan comparisons, Kobe and local Asian music stars MTVs,
Kobe commercials with Lionel Messi Turkish Airlines

Kobe all over the world, Championships......

At the end of the day, people remember Kobe for what he's done than what he's currently doing. Does not surprise me that 5 rings and 81 points will stick in people's minds rather than the spectacular season that Harden's having. It's okay, Kobe can have the All-Star game, Harden prefers to start in the NBA Finals.
