Come to think of it, i don't want him to make it in the all-star game. It would be better that he gets 3 days rest instead. He should go to Fiji and relax.
I thought they were taking the voting away from fans and only counting it for like 25% or sonething like that.
I support the Rockets fanatically, but I'm going to be the contrarian on this one- the large, large majority of us said nothing when a first-year Yao got more votes than a clearly more deserving Shaq.
Sadly many nba fans don't even follow it until after xmas/nye and many ppl really don't know how phenominal harden is playing. And many casual fans last impressions of a Harden may be struggling in that POR series. And yea, Kove is Kobe. He can play til he's 40 and shooting 25%. Will be getting voted in
The game is for the fans right? Who Cares who they vote in. James will get in from coaches. Dwight might be on the fence with his missed games plus his comp. of cousins. But this this stuff really doesn't matter in the big picture. Is not a real factor in Hall of Fame voting or Anything. But who cares if kobe gets in. Like it's an all star game , would you rather watch mike Conley or kobe play in an all star game ?
Not true. Let's say there're 50,000 CF members. From the starting of allstar voting (2 weeks now), if every one vote only through one means, there would have been at least 700,000. Conclusion: Clutchfans are NOT voting. Shameful, F.A.N.S. BTW I vote twice everyday with two NBA.com accounts (IE and firefox).
The same thing will happen later in Hardens career when hes a step slower and there is good new blood in the NBA, that's how popularity works.
Personally, I don't want to see Howard or Harden start. And I want them to play angry for the rest of the season.
It could be Kobe's swan song. I wouldn't get too riled up about it. Sitting at #4 in the Western playoffs, leading a team that just got reloaded with veteran presence, I'm sure James is grateful and just focused on those playoffs to cement his reputation.
Even so, there are other deserving people that can take the spot occupied by Kobe. I'm fairly certain guys like Conley won't get in, even though he's supremely underrated as a PG on one of the best teams in the league. And how is Pau over Marc in the first returns? Silly fans.
Pau averaging 18 and 11 compared to Marc's 20 and 9 in a bigger market and with less competition at his position in the East. And with casual fans Pau is still a bigger name.
i dont mind if kobe starts the all-star game... i mean... he shouldn't... harden should... but it'd be nice to see him check out when harden checks in... one last time.
