Kobe is a great scorer, but Phil put it best....sometimes in trying to get "hot" Kobe shot his team out of the game.
Kobe is old and washed up. Shoots a million times and throws his team under the bus. I don't care if he's 2% more efficient talking more shots at the end, what does it do to his teammates numbers? Why is the lakers record over the course of his career insanely better when he takes under 17 shots? Good thing I'm a rockets fan and I get to watch the best shooting guard in the league!!
I don't like Kobe much personally but this might be the first year where you could say team misfortunes were less his fault. Kobe actually IMPROVED this year over last, everyone else regressed. Kobe was NOT washed up this past year. Was he so dialed in that it turned OFF everyone else? (With Dwight, you never know) but I find that hard to believe. Lets be honest, would Michael Jordan or even other unselfish players like Lebron and Durant just start taking under 17 shots a game to help his team win? There IS some "get mines" mentality with all star wing players. The key is to WIN by having YOUR IMPRINT on the game. Stats do matter in the All Time rankings. For shooting guards, its pure points and wins. We'll never know if Kobe would have actually gotten more acclaim by shooting less. Frankly when you get your star power through pure volume scoring, its just hard to dial that approach back.
Seriously though, why does a Kobe/Lakers fan spend so much time here? We have fans of other teams but they don't do crap like this, so why does this guy do it? Just stop already.
His threads are getting super annoying he started the Duncan vs Kobe thread just so he can argue with people about how much better Kobe is and how great he is. If every thread you make have an underlying agenda to nuthug a player, you shouldn't be able to make threads.
