Like him or hate him, you can't deny his talent and god given gifts. I could only imagine if he had a regular body and not a glass one what he could have been.

Anyone who knows me on this board knows I'm a HUGE TMac fan.

But i gotta throw this out there. Just because he said Tmac was his toughest, doesn't make Tmac Kobe's biggest competition throughout his career.

Just that their one-on-one match ups were his toughest. Even if you hate TMac, you gotta be real about it and recognize that TMac BROUGHT IT against Kobe. Those dudes went at each other for 10 years!

Why is this odd or shocking? Do people not believe T-Mac was on his way to all-time great career, if he avoided the injuries and poor attitude? Other than D-Wade, which is a big maybe, what other shooting guards were as versatile and complete as T-Mac was?

Though, Kobe did have some stiff competition at his position, probably more so than any other all-time great shooting guard: Tracy McGrady, Dwyane Wade, Allen Iverson, Vince Carter, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce (played SG at times and directly against Kobe), Manu Ginobili, and even more modern players, such as James Harden.

I wonder if Durant is going to also get a lot of sleep before Seeing Kobe next season.

We were not favorites against Dallas that year. Tmac balled out that series, but we just didn't have the firepower to keep up Dallas. But your delusional if you think we had the better team:(

T-Mac in his Orlando days were one of the all time great players in my opinion, even better than kobe for a couple of years...but too bad T-mac's body couldn't last.

T-Mac is my favorite player of all time and favorite Rocket of all time. Considering I wasn't even born when Hakeem and Co. won back to back, I grew up with T-Mac.

The Kobe-Lebron rivalry has never been what I (and probably most NBA fans) hoped it would've been. There was an opportunity for these guys to go at it every year in the finals, but every year something would mess it up.

The last 7 finals matchups have had either Lebron or Kobe in them, never both! How unlucky is that!? Lol
