Lost in the shuffle, Gasol scored 31 points and had 14 rebounds. I expect him to have a big second half without Bynum. Very underrated player.

I'm not so sure. I just looked at his career high (56) which is a bit higher than I thought but IMO his jumper is too shaky for him to ever catch fire like Kobe can from the perimeter. I know James is young but I think his highest scoring season is already behind him.

Not that it matters. Kobe has shown he can score more points than MJ did and Kobe still isn't even anywhere near MJ's planet as a player.

    hahahhaha, I feel for Toronto.

Their team is imploding and they pay a visit to Cavs and the 2nd of the back to back is with the Lakers, Good Luck.

Kobe Bryant 19-31 FG 20-20 FT 61points!

Kobe Bryant torched the Knicks for 61 points, the most ever at Madison Square Garden. He sank all 20 free throws. It's the 24th time No. 24 has hit the 50-point mark in a game.

Wow, when Kobe is on fire, he's incredible! Getting to the line 20 times helps too but he's scoring in every possible way.

Kobe beat Benard King's record when King scored 60..
King PLAYED for the Knicks. Kobe did this as a guy who only shows up once to the Garden a year. that record was there since 1984.

And they won. that's the important part.

Doubtful, how many players have even scored 60+ in a game?

jobe was on fire, but I guarantee you Yao can go 19-31 and hit 80% at the line on a regular basis if we could just get him the shots, problem is we get yao goin 7-11 and rafer and tmac combining for 8-27.

Props to Kobe. He is one of the greatest ever to play the game. People may not like him but they gotta respect him.

Then go cheer for the Lakers then.

You and your stupid posts about Kobe ><...

Everybody know Kobe's the best, why don't you write Kobe is better than anybody in the league rather than spitting on the Rockets.

You seriously underestimate the stamina needed to shoot that many shots at that high of an accuracy rate, not to mention lugging a 7'6 300 lb. body around to get into position for those shots.
