in durant's last 5 games, he had 2 bad shooting games and 2 losses, and they weren't the same 2 games.

the 2 losses were against the lakers, when he and kobe both put on a brickathon and where it seems unlikely he was shooting for any reason other than winning, and against denver in a game where durant shot 12-23 and 3-5 in the 4th quarter (with the 5th shot being a missed 3 at the buzzer when they were already down 5). his other poor shooting game, a 7-19 game against the kings, the thunder won.

he pretty much took the same number of fga in april as he did the rest of the season.

As usual, a LeChoke fan is ashamed of talking about how LeChoke publicly begged for an MVP. Yet never too shy to speculate something Kobe didn't even try.

It's a challenge for Kobe to win while scoring 40, because the two most efficient offensive players on the team do not get the ball.

You're thinking of the wrong game. PJ didn't sit Kobe during the 81 point game except for the first six minutes of the second quarter, at which point Kobe had 14 points (a good start but not any indication of the historic night he was going to have). He played the entire second half because it was a close game most of the way.

Yup he is probably thinking of the Mavs game where Kobe didn't play in the 4th after outscoring Dallas through 3.

What's this difference in what Kobe said and what Lebron said a couple seasons ago? when he said he could win the scoring title every year if he wanted too.

There is no difference. It was a douche remark then and it's a douche remark now.

There are probably 15 damn players in the league who could get off 38 on any given night if they wanted....the question is whether or not it would be done effeciently and if the team would benefit.

Half the pricks on this thread firing off the "Of course he could of....OP, your entire point is meaningless because I love Kobe so ****ing much" are missing the point and that is that Kobe just couldn't admit his ass is old and it wasn't worth him to go for it. Instead, y'all just want to agree with him instead of focusing on what the thread is about.

And the defense issue is spot on, Kobe rarely plays 10 minutes of it a game, but because we know he can do it, we call him a great defensive player. Well he isn't 10 good minutes of Kobe D isn't worth 40 minutes of D by an average player....
