Is that a joke? He's the best player in the NBA. If a real opportunity to get him presented itself you take it in a heart beat. Even if he is a bit of a douche.

I don't really have a problem with what he said. Artest was jawing at him, and what he said was pretty much true.

We could have lost this game by 20 points easily. We could have also probably won by 20.

Things sort of evened out to where despite the sloppy play and horrendous shooting night by Artest, the game was tied 86 all with a couple minutes left.

    The Difference?

    Kobe closed us out.

I repeat, if Lamar Odom played then that Powell guy wouldn't have played. Powell scored 17 point at high efficiency tonight. Odom would not have done better than that.

If you really want to get technical... What if we had McGreedy and they had Bynum?

Oh right, beginning of the season.

If nothing else, it is always entertaining watching Artest pretend he is on the same level as the Kobe's and Lebron's of the world. He is one of those very few players in the league who truly believe they are better than whomever happens to be matched up with them. It is that same Sam Cassell affliction.

I love watching Artest because he is a character, not because he is a great player.

Somewhere in America, Vernon Maxwell was watching this game and says to the TV "Come on Ron!!"

Somebody, anybody in a Rockets jersey hits a few 3s and the Rockets win and Kobe is talking about whether or not the Lakers can win it all without Bynum instead of talking about kicking Ron's a$$.

I honestly think we'd match up better if they had Bynum. With Bynum they would probalby do less doubling on Yao, depending on Bynum to slow him down. Yao always plays much better when he plays against true centers.

McGrady is a different situation altogether.

Sam is legit on the offensive end, but doesn't pride himself on being a lock down defender.

Kobe is too quick for Ron. But I have faith Ron will be more motivated and not discouraged because of this game.

The Lakers are clearly a better team with Lamar Odom. He scores, rebounds, and gets assist, when he chooses to be consistent.

The last month or so Odom was playing pretty damn good.

Odom had been putting up silly numbers for several games in the past month or so. Don't look at just his points. If you find a game where he doesn't put up a lot of points, look at his rebounds, blocks, and/or assists. There are some monster numbers.

Kobe would give us a real good chance at winning a Championship.

Not sure how someone could not be happy if we got Kobe.

Artest looked like a confused deer caught in headlights out there throughout the second half, I felt really embarrassed for him. You could tell he was completely gassed by the 3rd quarter (which any idiot could see) but his pride seemed to prevent him from sitting down because he wanted to prove he could hang with Kobe for throughout the whole game. He fails to realize his own limits.

And Adelman was just as clueless as Artest or else he would of made him sit down for the rest fo the game.

the fourth quarter it was not even funny. I could literally hear Ron yapping at Kobe the entire game, until the last few minutes. Ron got his asked kicked tonight.
