A serious question to hard core Lakers fans: What has happened to Luke Walton? He rarely plays well when I watch your team. Am I just missing his good games or does he seem to make a number of bone-headed mistakes? From my perspective, he has regressed from last year where I thought he had finally found himself. If true, is there some underlying reason, like an injury?

the Rockets are still 5th after the Lakers lost. the Lakers lead their division.

this is crazy playoff seeding. the Rockets are behind two teams that they are better than.

When Yao or McGrady goes off in a game - even Lebron, Wade, Iverson, Carmelo - their team seems to FEED off of that. And genuinely are appreciative of fine performance

Kobe goes off his team's...eeh, alright...should we give him 50, whats he want 60 tonight?

kobe def. brings more intensity than tmac every night. i just feel tmac is the smarter player. kobe would not lead us to a 13-3 record without yao right now if he was on the rockets.

they're really 2 different players trying to do 2 different things when they go into a game (more in part that tmac is not as great at scoring as he once was but he's more matured). kobe looks to be very aggressive and thinks he has to score for his team to win. tmac feels he just has to do what his team needs him to (tmac said this to dan patrick on ESPN when patrick asked him how come he doesn't have that aggressive mentality like kobe).

Kobe has played 12 seasons, but he never won a MVP. I think it means something.

    Kobe is not MVP material!

So what. Tmac had 52 in three quarters back in Orlando. Didn't play in the 4th quarter at all.

I wouldn't mind a ball hog if that hog can produce 50+ a game.

Just when you thought that the Lakers had the easiest remaining schedule among the contenders, they drop two straight to Charlotte and Memephis. Way to go LA.

tmac can't score anymore his midrange game is clueless when was the last time he was legitimately on fire? I want to see a game where he can impose his will on a good team, I want to see it more often. It does seem there is something wrong with his mechanics. Tmac is just never consistent.

It is lame how you see mac pull up for a wide open three and Its always long. Like he doesnt take his time or something. Tmacs shot is one of the streakiest in the game.

Tmac and Kobe have different mentalities. When tmac is off(which is a lot of the time) he will be the most willing passer. When he is on he will shoot just as much as Kobe.

The difference with Kobe is that when he is off he still shoots because he feels he will catch fire. And many times he has.

You know how everyone was complaining early in the season about our roleplayers just standing around watching T-Mac? Well, multiply that by 10 and you have the Lakers situation. How do they expect their roleplayers to step up and hit shots when they're watching Kobe throw up jumpers all game long. It's hard to get in any type of rhythm when one guy is taking all the shots and you get one shot every 5 shots he takes.
