Wow, was that a royal collapse with Kobe resting on the bench. I assume the Lakers will rally and close the Grizz out, but I thought the same thing last game against the Bobcats.

we're talking about the worst team in the L. without pau and bynum right now, their level of talent parallels ours without yao.

and you know who can score 20 right now with 8 dimes and still win with ease v. the grizz?

It's a chemistry issue right now. The other Lakers aren't normally this bad. The defensive intensity will ratchet up in the 4th quarter and the Lakers offense will feed off that.

They are losing so it cancels out Kobe's stat line.

odom? he has had a double double in 21 of his last 25 games.
fisher? a veteran who was ON FIRE the past few games

but oh, odom only has 4 shots

sometimes it's not about if your teammates are bad. his teammates were scoring like crazy v. the warriors. it's kobe's job to get his teammates EASY BUCKETS and get them going, esp. vs a bad team like the grizzlies. THE WORST TEAM IN THE LEAGUE.

and knote23, you said the lakers are losing b/c they don't have pau, bynum...

and you're blaming tmac for losing with worse talent throughout his career? talk about hypocritical

that proves your lack of understanding for the game. yes he made it, but were his teammates involved.

kobe's the best scorer in the L. he can get his anytime. why not start the game getting others involved? if you saw the first quarter, even the announcers said other lakers "ARE NOT GETTING TOUCHES." the lakers announcers said that midway through the first. that's a telling sign.

Huh, I just want Tracy to play hard consistently, thats it....

I could care less about our record, as long as he is putting his heart into the Rockets...

i agree his intensity can be better throughout a game, but i don't doubt he's playing to win. he's playing to make his teammates better. you can never question that part of his game.

but i also want to bring up. when tmac was doing this earlier in the year (along with yao) where not a lot of others are involved, he was getting BASHED. and you were one of them. and here you are wowing at what kobe is doing? it's inexcusable losing to the worst team in the L on your home floor, regardless of their big men not playing.

I disagree, I believe it is the Team Defense thats hurting the Lakers, not Kobe's Offense....

if you play basketball, if you're not involved offensively, you're not going to try hard defensively. guys like vlad rad, odom, vujacic, farmar are guys that feed off of their OWN offense. they struggle offensively, they don't try as hard defensively.

Farmar has 9, Vujacic has 10. Odom feeds off his assists(he always has) and he has 9 of them...........

Vlad Rad is just horrible defensively no matter how many points he scores.

I play College Ball aand sometimes I am not involved Offensively, I still give everything on D.... This is the NBA

lakers do have an easier schedule. it's good they're losing these games. we need all the losses of all the other west rivals so we can get a higher seed. this all makes the spurs game on sunday all the more pivotal.

then you're probably a defensive player at heart and not very good offensively. it's the truth.

a lot of coaches (george karl and pat riley) and athletes turn analysts like legler and anthony have said the same thing. players try hardest when they know they're involved offensively.
