Umm, if I played with a bunch of elementary kids (which is what these other guys were to Kobe), I'd pass the ball to make the game fun for them, rather than score 68 points on them.

ROFL, I hope some of you guys are just acting dumb. Do you honestly believe he is playing a legitimate basketball team?

The team is "Chinese Stars". And the "Stars" are movie stars and singers.

... Did they seriously start off that "highlight" reel with him shooting free throws?

Well all those audience paid to see him play, he can't just pass the ball up.

There was an article about this already. The games had two 15 minute halves with a non-stop game clock. He didn't play the first half and his team was down by 9. The audience at half time could vote to give one team 20 points, and they did for the opposing team. So suddenly his team is down 29 points and begging Kobe to get them back in the game. So he suits up and takes over the game because that's what the fans paid to see.

Here is more about the game: http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/...be-bryant-scores-68-points-charity-game-china

I think the endgame for Kobe is that his team was down, and he wanted to win.
That is 100% Kobe, gotta respect that.

At least Kobe's desire to win only applies to basketball, and he's not some lamea** douchebag who cusses his coach and tries too hard in other things like golf and baseball. SERIOUSLY

FYI, Kobe in his prime could've scored 68 points in an NBA game

Let's be real. How often do they get to see one of the greatest players ever LIVE? And I paid? Damned right I want to see Kobe do what made him great.

This is ridiculous. It would be lose/lose for him.

Scores 68: man, he never passes the ball. He only cares about himself. Why is he going 100% at a charity game?!?!?!?!?

Scores 30: Kobe sucks. He just prances out there like he always does and just doesn't care. Durant put up 130 at Rucker on some "real" basketball players. Kobe can't even score 50 on a bunch of short asians.

    Stop saying brah. It's annoying.

You think I don't I know that? I said that he could have, not that he didn't.

he only scored 68? lol I do agree with other posters that people are there to see him score not pass. He doesn't do it in the nba, why would he do it against scrubs? hahaha

Not impressed by your performance. Kobe should have dropped 117pts. Send a message to some Rockets. Current and former.

I wanna see '06 Kobe do this. Relentless and on top of the world (at least in his mind).

No offense to Kobe, but 68 in 15 minutes isn't too impressive given that he was basically playing a bunch of people trying to make him look good. From the footage I saw, it would have been on slightly less difficult if they put traffic cones up for him to dribble around. I mean, I'm sure it was fun for the fans but this is just a side story. I don't think it really speaks to any of Kobe's many scoring strengths....or the criticisms(hopefully in jest) of his selfishness on the court. It's just a goofy exhibition game that makes a Globetrotters/Generals game look like Game 7 of the Finals.
