Dwyane Wade begs to differ. He did a great job on Kobe in the 4th quarter. It all comes to team achievements at the end and I think Wade will have his chance after next summer with that massive cap room Miami holds and two promising youngster (Chalmers/Beasley) on rookie contracts.
I don't think one players desire over another can really be questioned, because we don't no that. Kobe has ended up on far better teams than Mac over the years (mostly his championship teams) so i think if Mac was there with Shaq not Kobe then T wudda had an immense amount of desire because of how close he wud be to championship success
Most players, when they take a buzzer beater. It's going to be like a 10% chance of going in. When Kobe takes a buzzer beater, there is a 50% chance of it going in... In terms of clutch shots, I think Kobe is pretty equal to Michael.

He admitted it was a lucky shot. Every basketball player has banked in shots on instinct. It takes skill to make that shot.

^ Agreed, pure BS shot. Unless he intended to bank it in (and I KNOW he didn't) then is was luck. Had the backboard not been there it would have missed by 5 feet. Very inaccurate shot saved by chance. And only clutchfans could turn this into a TMac thread btw.
I still remember the days when people would argue over TMac/Kobe. I still remember when TMac said this about Kobe in 2006 "I look at Kobe Bryant. He's still a great player, but he had to sort of change his game a little bit because we're getting older. He's breaking down as well with the surgeries. I saw him [Friday] night and he doesn't look the same. He doesn't look the same at all. He looks heavier and he looks slower." Oh how the mighty have fallen.
The kind where you make so many of those shots to the point where it becomes second language. That kind of skill. Put it like this, he would not have shot it that way if the backboard was not part of the game.

It's not like he used the glass a la Tim Duncan. He shot it long, and was lucky he was straightaway so it could bank in.
It was luck, but if everything you do in your life builds toward you having better luck, it is earned luck. Kobe hit that shot because he's Kobe.
