why would you want a guy who purposely quits on his team in one of the biggest games of the year just to prove a point?
Kobe may have the veteran experience of ignoring a dominant big man, but our two more than make for their relative youth in the process by sheer determination and hark work. Maybe in a few years, they'll have the "mad skillz" it takes to ignore a dominant big man on a habitual basis and cost his team an important game late in the season throwing a fit because his coach said something. . . .
But if you look at Kobe's situation, I'm surprised he hasn't considered becoming a Rocket to the media. It is almost the same situation as it is in Los Angeles (which would benefit him since he has been a Laker his whole career)- since there is another great center, except he would be more of a vocal point.
Dear Bobi loser, your opinion concerning rox fans is about as worthless as the mailman's ankle or kobe's integrity.
Kobe is a great player and one of the best in the game ... Do I want him on the Rox? ... HELL NO I hated him before he cheated on his wife and was charged with rape, and I hate him more now that it has happened. Stay away from my team Kobe! Not that I am really worried about him coming here
This just in: Kobe is coming to Houston. In Game 3, wearing purple and gold, where the Rockets will spank his Lakers. Lakers/Rockets!!!!!! Who hoooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kobe would never be in yao's shadow as yao is no shaq; I think a nucleus of kobe and yao would be a very potent one especially if those two actually like playing together, think magic and kareem or a super sized rik smits and Reggie miller..... since I don't believe yao will ever be able to truly dominate a game like shaq does kobe's shot slection would not be in the way as much as it is in la. Steve has proven that he has a hard time getting his in a center dominated offense while Kobe has proven that he can get his whenever he wants it. Kobe's no fool and despite any personal feelings he might have towards shaq I doubt he wants to go somewhere and play with scrubs for any amount of time while management tries to build around him. look for him to find his way onto a playoff team via sign and trade. He wants to go somewhere where his shot selection and decisions are not constantly scrutinized by everyone, he can not do that now because he is clearly the second best option on that team on most occasions. Off the court shaq and Kobe simply do not like each other and alot of their problems stem from that. here Kobe would take a back seat to no one despite what the yofs think, it would give kobe a chance to take the reigns and lead a young and supremely talented big man and in Kobe's eyes somehow show shaq and the world that if he was the leader on any team, even one with shaq, that team could and would win. Some mention that Steve could never net us Kobe but I would disagree. if Kobe makes his mind up that he would like to play here a sign and trade would benefit both teams, Kobe gets to play where he wants and not have to worry about being the lone star until his early thirties and the Lakers would get a proven player to play alongside shaq. Steve's problems would be minimized in this situation because shaq is not a player that is going to stand by and asked to be lead, I think on the laker's you've got a situation where there are two players trying to lead, whereas on the rox you've got a situation where noone is leading (although JVG is trying to lead but I'm not sure how well that is going for either Steve or yao).
