him winning a ton of titles only cemented it. if he won only 1-2, it wouldn't be unanimous like it is now, but i think the majority would still pick him. the media already claimed he was the GOAT after he won his first ring. more rings only made it easier.
Jordan was considered the best before he got close to 6 titles. Wilt is still considered the best by a lot of folks and he only has 2.*
What are you talking about? How was Penny not a great player? In 1995, Penny Hardaway was arguably the best Shooting Guard in the NBA along with Reggie Miller.
In 2001, Vince Carter was arguably up there with Iverson and Kobe in the conversation for best shooting guard in the NBA. That doesn't make him a great player.
FAIL. That equation = 19. The correct way is (1+3) * 6= 24. Go back and take math in 5th grade again.
Well that's pretty much what I'm saying the four more rings helped his case a lot of course some would call him the GOAT with only two but not as many as now.
Oh yes I agree that right now Lebron is the better player hell he's the best player in the league. But if Kobe keep winning rings as the best player it will be tough for Lebron to catch his career if he don't start getting some rings. The good thing is Lebron does have age on his side he's only 25.
Name one two time defending FMVP that's not the best player in the league. LeQuit nutkissers should study some history. Case closed.
willis reed is one. tim duncan also won 2 FMVPs but he never was a unanimous best player in the L. paul pierce, james worthy, tony parker are other names that have also won FMVP just FYI
Wait a second. Earlier in this thread you said that Lebron's MVPs do not mean he is the best player in the league because the MVP award has become the award for the best player on the best team. Now you are using the award that is by definition the best player on the best team (Finals MVP) to "prove" that Kobe is the best player in the league?
There're regular season MVPs that won it due to media popularity contest, e.g. Steve Nash, LeBron James. To win back-to-back FMVP you are in the league of Magic, Jordan, Dream, Shaq. Get the point?
Yes, the point is that you can come up with whatever crap you want to justify your ridiculous opinions. I could just as easily make the point that to win back-to-back regular season MVP, you are in the league of Duncan, Jordan, Bird, Moses Malone, Magic, Kareem, Wilt, and Russell. That's some great company as well.
