who's defending lebron again? sure isn't me.

bu the same arguments kobe fans use against lebron compared to kobe are the same ones that can be used against kobe compared to jordan.

AI didn't defend Kobe, Snow did. And he's a pretty good defender. Plus, Shaq clogged the lane and Kobe couldn't have as many opportunities to shoot under the hoop. That's not a problem for MJ.

LeBron can't even play with a true post player. He's making every one of them a jumpshooter so he can do his 5 steps layup or foul routine.

I never claimed Kobe's as good as MJ. I said he's closing in on MJ and LeBron is not in the same league. Is that a bold claim?

Last time I checked. MJ had 6, Kobe has 5, LeBron has none.

shaq also saw double & triple teams, something a teammate of jordan never saw,

    but OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

so now kobe gets a pass for a poor shooting performance because eric snow was a good defender then what was gary payton who was a defensive player of the year?

    you're contradicting yourself again....

Last time I checked. MJ had 6 Finals MVP's, Kobe has 2, LeBron has none too

kobe can win 10 rings and he would still be miles behind jordan.

    how many finals MVP?
    how many MVP?
    scoring titles?
    DPOY?
    stats?
    individual accolades?
    ...

you're disrespecting MJ to say kobe is closing in on him.

but hey, you jock kobe more than his wife.

Kobe didn't get a pass, but he didn't get the credit for 01 finals anyway so why would you care? You are contradicting yourself by implying Kobe only has 2 (FMVP) while using his non-FMVP finals as reference, very brilliant.

Bottom line, MJ > Kobe > LeBron as of now. MJ and Kobe are all time greats and LeBron is at AI's level if he retires now. I don't know what you are arguing.

LOL, according to you, the world should already end in 1996 when MJ shot under 43% (actually 41.5%) in a series. And you should rest in peace by now.

And your r****ded comment only made you disappear for 2 hours? WOW.

so you found ONE series in his entire career! great job. the world should end; that was his arguably his worst series. kobe did that twice in one playoff run. so thanks for proving my point.

hell kobe averaged that for an entire playoff run to 2 championships.

kobe "closing in" on jordan. you just don' know when to stop sucking kobe's nuts.

    and to end this argument,

jordan is miles better than anybody that is a perimeter player.

kobe has had a better CAREER than lebron. that's a fact. but lebron's 25. it's up to him to make up that difference in championships.

but lebron is the better player NOW. that's a fact. until kobe is consistent over the entire reg. season and playoffs (instead of greatness and then dipping in mediocrity), kobe's inconsistency is what holding him back from retaining the best player status.

Check your big mouth, the "world will end" is your comment and not mine. Kobe can shoot sub 10% all his career and it wouldn't make you a bit less r****ded.

Now trying to save the face? LOL

How about until LeBron is consistent in one entire playoff run and has the capability to win a championship as the clear leader, he should not be in the same conversation as Kobe?

lebron has been widely considered as the best player the past 2 years WITHOUT winning a ring.

just like kobe was the best player in 05-06 when he couldn't pass the first round.

winning rings will help shape your career. and thus kobe is having the better career if both guys retire now.

but winning rings have nothing to do with who is the best player NOW. michael jordan was the best player for several years running before winning his first ring.

you clearly cannot seem to grasp that logic.

if dwight howard wins a ring before lebron (and he's the clear leader), does that mean howard is better?

    again your logic is baffling.

LeBron has been widely considered underachieved in last 2 years' playoff run. And media continued to recognize Kobe as the best player after NBA finals.

Magic changed his tone in playoff, Barkley changed his tone in playoff. Others never recognized LeBron as the best player, like this guy. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writers/jack_mccallum/05/28/kobe/index.html A few LeQuitter homers didn't make "widely consider" all right?

It's not about how Jordan performed. But that "if Jordan shot < 43% the word should end" r****ded comment that you tried to dodge now.

If you stand by it, you should rest in peace now. Don't waste my time here.

    http://dimemag.com/2009/06/dwyane-wade-kobe-bryant-is-still-the-best-player-in-the-game/

Add Wade to that non LeQuitter-homer list.

charles barkley just said repeatedly he thinks lebron is the best player in the L, even when he criticized im of the move. are you lying AGAIN?

Despite being so blunt about James, Barkley still believes he's the NBA's top player.

"I like him,'' Barkley said. "I respect him. I've said consistently that he's the best player. (The Lakers') Kobe Bryant has Lamar Odom, (Andrew) Bynum and (Pau) Gasol. If LeBron had those guys, he'd win. But it's nothing personal (against James).''

    magic johnson:

he changed his mind b/c HIS lakers won, and kobe's the best player on that team. magic will say lebron is the best next year again.

    jerry west:
    http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4178437

and ultimately: a ton of NBA greats think lebron is the best player
    http://www.nba.com/2010/news/05/01/lebron.mvp/index.html

and you bring up an article by an SI reporter? lol. c'mon man, gotta bring the heat, and stop lying.
