Hey I kind of like it in my cave. There's only bad things outside of it.

There's a lot of people who love Kobe. There's a lot of people that hate him. The point is, he's famous. If you needed to spread the word about something, I'd rather have Kobe Bryant do it than Mike Harris, even though Mike Harris might the most politically aware person in the world and he cares about Darfur.

You know why? Kobe will sell. Even if you hate Kobe, look how much talk about Darfuf was generated just by this thread on a ROCKETS forum...I guarantee you there are people on this board who didn't know about Darfur before this thread/that ad and know more about it now.

Say what you want about athletes beating and raping women, taking performance enhancing drugs, and showing off their money, but they SELL. Let's assume I hate Kobe Bryant (I don't anymore, I used to), would I really NOT give into the Darfur cause just because Kobe advertised it? That would make me a ****ing moronic douchebag of epic proportions.

This makes no sense... Why would you compare Kobe with these two?

Really? You are going to compare Kobe Bryant to Osama Bin Laden and Hussein? While we are at stupid comparisons, Kobe's not dead, so that comparison to Hussein doesn't work. That makes sense to me...

Kobe doesn't, unless you want to prove me wrong, order terrorist attacks on other countries that kill so many innocent people (RIP to them all). He also doesn't oppress the people in the country he rules. All you have is a rape case where he was proven innocent. And even if you use the argument that he paid her off, then it just proves the fact she was a gold-digger and didn't stand true to her morals and cared about getting raped. Whether she was raped or not, she did it for the money. Don't start pointing out of the faults of capitalism for that becaus then you are insulting all Americans.

And hey, these ads are targeted to a basketball watching crowd, and everyone of them knows who Kobe Bryant is. They didn't use Peyton Manning or Derek Jeter, did they? They didn't use Wayne Gretzky. If they advertised it during a basketball game or anything even remotely basketball related, they will know by heart who Kobe Bryant is.

I'll tell you this right now if T-Mac or Yao or Greg Oden (a personal fav of mine) or Matt Barnes (another one) said anything about the oppression of Green Snorkleydorks in Wavadoomsag, I sure as hell would search that up in a heartbeat and at least find out what it's about. That's because I am their fan and I care about what they say. We disect every single word T-Mac says, if he said something about Darfur, it would get noticed. Kobe has a lot of fans to notice that statement, he has a lot of haters, who too will notice this.

And it doesn't change the fact you picked three measly points to rebuttle about.
