lebron may not be able to win a ring by himself, but he can go deep in the playoffs by himself. that's how good he is.
http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/po...t-in-crunch-time?prosaction=newpost&status=ok I call it "game winners" for brevity, but actually it is referring to shots that are go-ahead or game tying in last 10 seconds. Some interesting stats on game winners in this piece. No other player has hit 7 game winners in a single season in the past decade. Kobe is 7/12 on them this year (and 19/77 in prior 9 seasons).
and after the game he said this: Yet the streamers hadn’t fallen from the Staples Center roof before Bryant began criticizing the Lakers’ latest lackluster effort. “This thing tonight was garbage,” he said of the Lakers’ effort, adding his account of the positives from the win: “None.” even after they win he still bashes his team. If you want to get strict with rules, Kobe is being handchecked in this image, and that alone should give him 2 ft.
I think the fact that it took a prayer of a shot from Kobe to keep the Lakers from losing their forth straight game against the struggling Raptors is reason for pause. Kobe may have won the game for them but their insistence on not taking advantage of their inside dominance is interesting. Kobe takes 20 + shots while Gasol and Bynum take 12 and 11 respectfully. Also, there is no way in hell Bargnani should be getting over 20 points against that front court. The Lakers are looking more and more like the team Boston took apart two years ago.
Maybe that's what Gasol was complaining about. They've got two starting 7-footers and another one off the bench, all of them are good scoring bigs, and they aren't pounding it inside? Kobe would have had a lot more easy shots than he does now.
Kobe doesnt care about winning unless its him doing the winning. It is sad though that the supposed defending champs are either one a losing streak or barely getting past teams struggling at home. Leave it up to ESPN to make up some stat in favor of kobe though out of it all
1. Kobe travelled first, he would/should be called for the travel since it happened first. 2. He wasn't handchecked. Watch the reply replay before you respond next time. The picture was merely an illustration, you should watch the actual footage try again
Not Kobe, not Lebron, hell not even Michael Jordan. STEVE NOVAK is the clutchest player. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHKWJ8yCqBE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7tsLkcJqO0&feature=related
