Yeah...he's definitely NOT a waste of talent. He's a first class ass**le, but he's definitely not a waste of talent.

sweet lets hope the player guarding him from the opposing team goes at him every night! He complains to the refs more than anyone in the league.. and to think of it.. I can only think of one other person that gets the calls he does.. AI. If the opposing players so as much breathes on Kobe wrong... whistle. Hell I even see them anticipating the foul and call it.

I disagree with this, and personally, I too think Kobe is a punk, but also think he's definitely one of the top 5 players in the game.

NBA refs honestly are not biased in my opinion...not biased in terms of the player but biased in terms of the type of play. Kobe gets away with a lot because he's always in the action (on offense and defense). And driving plays get a lot of whistles in many of the games today...that is where the bias is. Kobe also gets hacked a lot without calls mainly during games where refs are letting everyone be physical. Refs are just inconsistent...right about only 85% of the time.

Prime example is Kobe getting away with a clear hack on Okafor and then getting the touch foul call on Carol. Both calls were wrong in my opinion, (because shooters were getting touched on and space encroached all game long without a whistle), but one benefited him and the other didn't. He just whines so much when things don't go his way.

T-Mac objects too when he feels he gets the shaft, but no where near the level of Kobe. And T-Mac doesn't get that many calls because he's not always driving to finish. He drives to pass, slides by defenders (not through them a la Wade), and on defense, he doesn't mix it up much. Someone posting him generally can back him down with out too much of a fight.

What really is amazing is the lack of foul trouble Shane Battier gets into, considering that he's always in the action on defense: help side blocks, charge taking rotations, and position battles with the best wing player of the other team. I digress.

I agree with you guys 100%. Kobe needs to quite his whinning and complaining after every freaking call. There's nothing that I hate about the NBA more than whinning. I hate it more than flopping.

And it has nothing to do with his achievement, either.

As to Kobe, I do not care for him. But eveyone has to give the credit due. He is the best player in the league, hands down.
