so, it's now an elitist opinion to believe the facts that the founders did not fight to end slavery? wow.

The big quote from her is "the very founders that wrote those documents worked tirelessly until slavery was no more in the United States". The founding fathers did work to end the culture of slavery. The founding fathers also didn't work to end the culture of slavery. It all depends on what facets of American heritage you want to accentuate and build upon. Just be prepared for a vicious onslaught from liberals -they have a negative attitude towards life and an incessant need to demonize the US Constitution and the country's history to reinforce their negativity in order to make them feel comfortable.

Given that they were all dead long before slavery was no more in the United States, they clearly stopped working tirelessly before that time.

Like I said, and I know this is hard for you to accept because it doesn't fit into your neat little box of liberal hateful "attack", her phrasing was just poor and that's not exactly what she meant.

Given her history of rewriting the past to suit whatever she wants it to be, I disagree. This is not a one time thing for her.

yeah, gotta love a link that pretty much starts with this:

regardless, if those founders were working so tirelessly to end slavery, they did a really ****ing terrible job of it.

Ending an ancient, world-wide institution might be harder than you think. Just look at Africa today where slavery still exists in and millions are still in bondage. But keep being the good liberal and hate on the U.S.

Don't you think the founders would have done better by, you know, uh, getting rid of their own slaves? Maybe they could have abolished slavery? Hmm. Crazy.

I can't believe that we are even having this argument. I feel dumber for even replying.

The more interesting thing to me were the actual quotes from the old timers rather than the opinion of the guy writing the article.
