    A player at his max would be valuable asset down the line. We aren't talking about a $40M/year deal here.

    Valuable to who? You're gambling that he develops into a semi allstar player a team with cap space will want to trade for. We could end up with Bismack Biyombo.

    Even though Porzingis is still a good player, he might be the biggest waste in a few decades. He has elite size, can move really well, soft touch, rim protection instincts, etc. He could be an MVP of the league if he wanted to be one.

    His mentality changed after he got injured. I remember a rookie Porzingis putback dunking over EVERYONE. Now he plays soft and is just taking jumpers...

    Porzingis is shooting a career high percentage from the field so he hasn't regressed much. I think people just expected another jump from. Honestly, I think he needs to work on his 3s. If he can get I near 40 percent, he would be pretty unstoppable since you aren't going to block his jumper much.
