Looks like Turiaf secured his spot and Morrow is out. I wouldn't be shocked by another big trade by the Warriors soon.
Also Richard Hendrix is for real. Maybe he'll start seeing some more playing time. It was just an all around great deal for the Warriors.
No way, Kelena will start at PF before Turiaf does....... Nelly has been going 4 guards with Biedrins the last few games..........Adding Jamal only establishes that......
what are the knicks thinking.......it's a lateral move at best.....and randolph to dallas? he's finally dropping 20-10 without curry holding him down and they're gonna trade him?
He was a consistent 20/10 player in Portland and they traded him there. ZBo is the type of player who puts up numbers but don't necessarily help his team win.
Crawford was the Bull's PG before Hinrich was drafted. He fell out of favor there obviously and his character was questioned when he got traded. So the Knicks get rid of Crawford's salary for 2010/11 freeing up more salary space for the free agency class of LeBron. Wasn't Crawford rumored to be the most vocal of the anti-Marbury contingent among the Knicks players? I wonder if this was also done so Marbury could play? That would be interesting as Walsh and D'Antonio are supposedly butting heads over that issue.
I would guess that's a good deal for the Warriors because when you have Jamal Crawford, folks, you simply win the ballgame.
The same could be said of Yao. That's not meant to be a knock on Yao. A player either contributes or he doesn't.
That is very interesting, I hear he is suiting up today. Honestly though I would be suprised if Dantoni changed his mind about Steph.......
yahoo reports Z-Bo and Mardy Collins to Clippers. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_y...aw-randolphclippers112108&prov=yhoo&type=lgns The New York Knicks have agreed in principle to send power forward Zach Randolph to the Los Angeles Clippers, two league sources said Friday afternoon. The Clippers would send Tim Thomas and another player who’s still unclear —- Cuttino Mobley or Marcus Camby – to the Knicks for Randolph and guard Mardy Collins.
http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-clippers22-2008nov22,0,4024078.story I guess Cuttino is going to be D'Antonio's Raja Bell for the Knicks.
Wow the Knicks cleared a lot of room for the 2010 FA...I'm sure they'd be able to lure at least Chris Bosh, if not LeBron or Wade.
At first I thought the Knicks would clear enough money to get Lebron at the expense of having few good players left on the roster. I'm sure Lebron's main priority is to go somewhere where he can build a dynasty of championships, so I thought this was a big gamble. But ESPN they said the Knicks are clearing so much room to get TWO max contracts 2010. Is this a legitimate scenario? Could they land something like LBJ/Bosh? I don't pay attention to contracts and cap room stuff so maybe someone can fill me in.
On one side... The Knicks finally dump everything and start fresh. On the other... They were looking good, anything could happen in the East, now they deal their 2 best players? Poor D'antoni.
I've come to the conclusion that D'antoni is a coaching god. At least on the offensive end. He made the Suns a perennial juggernaut and he made the Knicks the highest scoring team in the league at 105.27 ppg thus far. Granted they also give up the most amount of points LOL it's still impressive.
Meh, if they're relying on Zach Randolph and Jamal Crawford as their "core", I'd say this is an improvement.
