I must say I would not mind having this guy on the Rox..........
A PF that could shoot 3's with his athleticism would be nice......

Real gm (i know) says the deal would be

    Knicks get
    -Cuttino Mobley
    -Tim Thomas
    -Al Harrington

    Warriors get:
    -Jamaal Crawford

    Clippers get:
    -Zach Randolph
    -Mardy Collins

I don't know about you, but I'd MUCH rather have Zach on my team than Harrington. Zach may have the body fat index of Ricki Lake, but he is a rarer commodity than Al: a post-player, and rebounder who can feed the horses of D'Antoni's fast break offense. Post players a rare, whereas Al is one of the tweeners that appears on every team's roster.

Anyway, this hurts the Knicks. Do they really need Mobley, too? One undersized change-of-pace offense guy (Crawford) helps a team; two generally hurts.

Maybe Cuttino's career will be resurrected again in NYC.

Don't forget that Tim Thomas got that fat check from the Clippers cause he was playing so well that one season with the Suns under D'Antoni

    what's the deal with marbury?

I understand they aren't clones of each other but at the same time how many overpaid, 3-point chuckers that take bad shots and play no defense can you possibly want? That's all i'm saying. You want another guy like that over Crawford?

    I doubt it........

But maybe the Knicks are trying to get rid of those guys.........2010

Still, That deal would truly suprise me.

I understand trying to deal Jamal Crawford, but Zach has played some great basketball.......

This deal is the only one that kind of makes sense for the Knicks. I still wouldn't trade Jamaal though.

Bad deal for them getting rid of Jamaal and Randolph.

If that's the deal, it seems pretty clear that the Knicks are just trying to shed salary for Summe 2010. They cut like 28 or 29 million from their books for the 2010/2011 season. This isn't a move for the Knicks to get better right now -- Crawford and Randolph have played really well for D'Antoni.

It's the type of move that the Knicks would never have done under Thomas. Sacrifice wins in the short term for the future.

I would never want Jamal Crawford on my team, His top of the key selfish isolations would drive me mad. Al Harrington plays with alot of passion and is a career 45 percent shooter. Q struggles to stay at 40........

I much rather have Zack and Jamal than cat, tim and harrington. Those two are the Knicks two best players.

Exactly, They did want Z-Bo in the offseason, but this deal now just makes absolute zero sense.

I think they will trade Chris Kaman for Shawn Marion or Gerald Wallace.

    Camby
    Zach
    Shawn Marion/G-Wall
    Eric Gordon/Rickey Davis
    Baron Davis

Whoa. That's a good lineup but they doesnt have any single contributor from the bench.

Also I think Mike Dunleavy trying last years GSW offense on Clips to make Baron effective, Zach,G-wall,Marion will fit that.

I dont know, that sounds more like a NBA 2K9 fantasy to me........

Would be a great move for the Clips though.......

Well, chucker or not, I'd love to have a PF who made 40% of his last 729 three point attempts. I'm not saying I'd take him over Crawford or that I'd want both him and Q on the same team, but I do think he's different enough to be more valuable than Q. That's really all I was trying to say.

Z-bo and Jamaal Crawford have both been playing great ball for the Knicks. Those guys are both great candidates for a sell high so I can see why they would want to move them if they get good value in return.

If that proposed realgm deal goes through I'm not sure how Crawford would fit in with the Warriors crowded combo guard/swingman position especially with the rise of Anthony Morrow and the return of Monta Ellis in a couple months. Considering Nelly can and likes to play Captain Jackson at Center I guess he's looking for a replacement for Jason Richardson to emulate what he did 2 years ago. But the real reason the Warriors were as successful as they were a couple of years ago was because of B.Diddy.

The last two games the Warriors starting lineup looked like this:

    Azubuike
    Morrow
    Magettte
    Jackson
    Biedrins

Definitely unconventional with no PG and no traditional PF or C. Yet they got the job done but that can't last forever. If I were the Warriors instead of Jamaal Crawford I'd take a gamble and take the risk of Stephon Marbury or try to get Zach Randolph.

    Marbury
    Monta Ellis
    Maggette
    Jackson
    Biedrins

    or

    Monta Ellis
    Maggette
    Jackson
    Z-bo
    Biedrins

+1. I love what Crawford brings and would love to have him on the Rockets. I would have thought that the Knicks were smarter than that now that Thomas is gone but I guess not...
