Exactly two weeks (and a day) to the Season Opener :D

I don't even care if we start a lineup of Collier/Morris/Mickeal/Maddox/Brown - just please let this offseason END!!!

I agree with Shooter. Why would you give up so much for nothing? Steve Francis wants to win now! Post the site you got this from

I thought Yetti was kidding. Note the use of "vein" (sic), as if Sane was mainlining Jesus like so much heroin.

    Everybody sing now!

"White light, White light goin' messin' up my mind
White light, and don't you know its gonna make me go blind
White heat, aww white heat it tickle me down to my toes
White light, Ooo have mercy white light have it goodness knows"

I tried. I really did. :( To my credit, the V.U. post above is slightly above my average post quality, I think, and it tangentially references my own addiction to cc.net now.

Will try to cut back, but maybe after just this one little fix...

3 rockets starters and our most versatile back up for a weak weak "star" with a huge contract and a player who is caught between being a starter and the bench (who definitely isn't better than moT, and probably not much better than KT)?

.PLEASE don't let our front office be as asinine as the person who started this thread.

That was a Velvet post, B-Bob. Anyone who can reference Reed, Sanity, Christ and the Abominable Snowman at one go is someone who's a pleasure to read.

I agree with Yetti, this is a sports forum; keep religion, race, politics, gender, etc. out of it. Using the name of Jesus Christ as a slang word is very offensive to me and others. Making rude, critical, or even mean-spirited remarks about players, teams, coaches or even posters including myself (which I expect after I post this) may be offensive, but, hey, it is a sports talk venue. Insulting racial, religious, or personal remarks are another matter. Let's talk Rockets! As to the New York trade, that can't be for real. The Rockets are not that stupid! :)

I don't know what the obsession with the Knicks is all about. There's that Cato to New York thread too, but I just don't see one single player on the Knicks roster that we'd want at this point. Even for free. (okay, maybe their rookie, but we've got enough rookies).

Maybe the obsession is like walking by a garage sale, and you know it's all complete garbage, but there's nobody else around, and you feel like you might find something good so you sit there like an idiot sifting through old, scratched NAZARETH albums, orange plastic plates, and threadbare, stained pairs of pants.

"Hmmm. Well, maybe these will fit afterall, and I could wear them for Halloween or something ..."

The Rockets dont need a player like Allan Houston and his 100 million dollar contract. They're better off the way they are right now.

This trade was proposed on the hoopsworld message board as speculation as opposed to a rumor.

It is going to be fun watching the Knicks squirm this year...
But, wouldn't it piss you off more than anything if the Knicks somehow wormed their way into the top pick and got Lebron James for their troubles.

    Of course.

However, I hope the knicks don't get him for a couple reasons.
1). I hate the Knicks, they don't deserve LeBron.
2). I really think it would be in LeBron's best interest not to play in New York. The kid is already so hyped up it is unbelievable. He has superstar buddies, and he is the next "next MJ." I really think if you add the scrutiny of the NY media on top of all this additional pressure (and the critical nature of NY fans), he could really have a rough go of it. I don't want to see that, he has all the tools; I think only the pressure and scrutiny could bring about him becoming a flop.
