Meanwhile, Jeremy Lin had 28p 11r 12a in his first game in the D-league this year.

Going to go aheand and say that Jennings is in the running for the coveted Fool's gold award. The guy is more or less a Black hole who requires a crapload of shots to get 20 ppg.

He's playing well right now, but that's not new - basically doing what he's done in his previous NBA seasons so far....start out the year read hot, drop some 30 or 40 point games, then have his jumper abandon him but spend the last 4 months trying, and failing, to shoot his way out of a slump

    Bingo!

The worst starting point guard in the NBA.

I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss Jennings. One thing different about this year so far is that he's shooting better than ever on 2 pt shots, particularly at the rim.

Prior years, his 2 pt % were pretty terrible even when he was hot from 3-pt range.

The guy is 22 years old, it's not inconceivable that he's simply improved.

The only things that suck harder than Stoudemire are his ignorant fanboys.

acsorelle4, LOL. You put it best. He's a good player, but he's no prime Duncan or KG. He plays only half-basketball, offense only.

This. I can see him being a bust, but there's not way to be sure about a guy whose career is so young.

If only it were that easy for them. They COULD have done that had they just kept Billups. But now, they're pretty much capped out for the next five years with just Melo, Amare and Chandler. The only ways they can improve their roster (besides trading one of their "Big Three") is with whatever few future first rounders they still have, second rounders, the MLE, and vet minimum reclamation projects.

    Ah, the schadenfreude!

Yes averaging 20 pts and 5 assist on 46% shooting makes you the worst PG in the NBA.

He struggled last year but he definitely hasn't been the worst PG in the NBA this year.

He also rarely gets any calls when he drives to the rim for some reason. He gets thrown to the ground a lot with no call.

I think most of the people bashing Brandon Jennings hasn't watched him a lot this year.

I was at the MSG last night, it was the best schadenfreude experience I've ever had. Would highly recommend it to any Rockets fans living in NY or staying for a few days in the area. Well worth the ticket price (which wasn't high because the opponent was the Bucks).

Watching Knicks on TV (or internet stream) is also highly recommended as therapy for Rockets fans upset at the team's refusal to tank for a high pick. Rooting against someone else's team is much more fun than rooting against your own.

He's not a good fit for any coach or any offense. That's why he's only ever made it out of the first round once despite all the talent he's played with.
