So we could possibly end up with top 10 pick (regardless of our finish), and if we are unlucky enough again to not make the playoffs, we end up with another top 14 pick.
i know we are not suppose to look ahead, but NY schedule in March and early April is rough. They definitely wont make the playoffs...
I could be wrong, but I'm not all that concerned about Puffy the Point Guard. He's 32, has never been strongly dedicated to his personal fitness, is almost certainly not going to be in game shape this month, has been a divisive locker room guy several times in his career, has never (NEVER) come close to 10 apg in a season (career 7 apg), is poor defensively, is subpar from 3, and is a volume/inefficient shooter in general (40% and 1.1 pps). This guy is not Steve Nash. He's the guy the Clips paid off Cleveland to take off their hands. I've never been a big fan of him, and think he's more likely going to help a Knicks' implosion than he is to pull them into the playoffs.
Too early to tell, but still Knicks could miss the playoff. No one would believe it if someone says they will miss the playoff at the beginning of the season.
They'll be marginally better, but Davis' prime is way, way behind him, and he's in no way the coach/floor general the Knicks need.
Davis isn't Steve Nash, you can argue he's just another version of Shumpert: highly talented but undersized sg. He's never been a playmaker in NO or GS, hopefully he won't start in NYC. Anyway maybe its just me but the Knicks are becoming worse too soon, I was expecting them to hover around 0.500 and then flame and crash after the all star break. At this rate we might have to worry about that top 5 protection, Walsh may have told D'Antoni to throw this season away and start drawing Melo play after Melo play after Melo play.
I think Knicks fans would riot if the Knicks do poorly again, not that Dolan would listen to his fans. I still think the Knicks edge into the playoffs, the East is really weak and I don't trust a young Cavs team to hold the 8th seed.
