Some of the shots Melo was taking were incredibly head scratching. He was consistently getting double and even triple teamed but still jacked up shots.

I'm sure the steady work ethic and leadership of Baron Davis will turn things around.

Is anyone else worried that the Knicks might actually end up with a top 5 pick?

we could probably make an offer for Amare for cheap. don't know if we want him, although he played pretty well being the primary offensive option last year.
he would fit well with this team and would be that option. can't stand his salary though.

Nope. Even as bad as they are playing they are still a play-off team. They are well under .500 but no team below them poised to pass them and push them into the lottery. I keep hopping for some damn team to rise up but Boston looks to have nothing left and they have a series of losses coming up. The Bucks have a group of tough games on their schedule as well so I don't really see them passing them. :(

Bad contract, injury prone, bad defender, and an average rebounder. Pass.

Is Melo starting to remind anyone else of Antoine Walker?

Remember the Bucs are just now getting some of their key pieces back. I believe the team is better than their record indicates. If it's any consolation, they blew out the Knicks at MSG.

    The Bucks next 5 games:

    Miami
    Atlanta
    Chicago
    Houston
    LAL

    ouch!!

And just to touch that up a little their next 4 are:

    Detroit
    Miami
    Detroit
    Chicago

Possibly 2 wins out of the bunch? They are about to face a serious gauntlet.

To further put salt in the wound, NYK is 4 games under .500 and are currently a play-off team! The Rockets are 2 games over .500 and are chasing Dallas, San Antonio and LAL for the final play-off spot!

A team with a .375 winning percentage can make the playoffs in the east even as there are four Western teams that are better than them.

It seems like the Eastern Conference is just in one giant race to the bottom.

No. The modus operandi here is the make-up call. We receive a pick at 7-9.

    Brutal.

Speaking of which, are the Knicks ever gonna play an away game this season?

Rockets, TPups, Suns and Blazers would be holding a play-off seat in the east. Both Knicks and Cavs would be burried deep in the lotto bracket.

This is a great season to be a Rocket, we can win and loose at the same time. Hope Knicks continue to loose while Rockets can win and shoot for the playoffs. Get their pick likely 10-16 and go ahead and get our debt 1st rd pick out of the way to the Nets. Also who knows what will happen around the trade deadline in March maybe we make a trade to pick up a late 1st in '12.

Make-up call from who Stern? You are aware that the lottery is only used to determine the first 3 picks. Since those are protected for New York, I'm not sure what you are talking about.
