Knicks' Curry annoyed at continued physical beatings

THe situation is so simple to fix. Here's how I'd fix this.

Say Yao is fouled hard. Teams need to know that if you inflict hard fouls, you will pay for it. No, not through free throws but equally hard foul.

What every team needs is an enforcer type. Yao can't foul back because he's too important. So what you do is, you allow an enforcer type, a thug, to inflict brutal payback on the guy who fouled Yao.

That enforcer can be suspended, but it doesn't matter.

That way, the message is delivered: No Hard fouls unless you want to be fouled back in return.

This is analagous to Baseball pitchers protecting their hitters when an opposing pitcher knocks down one of their batters.

This is what I would put in on any team that has a center like Yao or Shaq who routinely gets punished. Teams need to learn that it won't be tolerated. If the league doesn't protect these players, teams have to protect them.

 

Real men don't need to cry. Curry has a bum shoulder. Let him hide behind Zeke the convicted, woe is all things Knix.

Curry has a legit point because the officiating of bigs is beyond a joke. So is his coach/GM/prez. Will the Knicks make the play-offs? Not a lock. Will Curry whine and cry? A lock.

 

Yao and Dwight get abused even more than Curry

 

He should try being Yao Ming who gets brutalized with regularity. It is open season on Yao, whatever anyone wants to do. But, if he barely touches another player it is an automatic foul. It is a travesty and the league does nothing about it. Nothing. How many times did Yao foul out of games last year? How many times did Kobe foul out? How many scars does Yao have, how many injuries? Unfair!

anyway on the topic, the game would be a lot better if they let the big men play as much as the guards. haven't read every post, but the issue to me is more rules than correct calls.

 

Tell me about it! Plus, I haven't forgotten how Curry was whipped like a dog by Yao and then had the nerve to talk trash later, after knowing he wouldn't see Yao again until this season.
