And according to you, Pat Beverly and his....what?...-2.7 apg makes him so great, and Llull would have been hot garbage at best.

I want Pat back for 26 mpg of havoc, but it seems other teams think more of him.

A guy with great D, but dropping field goal percentage for the last 3 years? (How many open shots did he have this year?) Can't stay healthy? (Has he had a full season yet in the NBA?) Do not overpay.

Worst starting PG in the NBA. He's a very good backup. But no need to make a RFA a priority when nobody is offering him contracts.

No I was wrong. You were 100% right. Beverley sucks, hes pure garbage. Prigs is the new Steve Nash & DMo is hall of fame bound. We should trade everybody and just build around DMo. I was TOTALLY wrong. I apologize on behalf of the Rockets, Cavaliers, Bulls & Mavs who CLEARLY value Bev higher than we do. Bev is definitely garbage. Sound good enough?

Are you inferring that he's NOT one of the worst starting PGs? Very mediocre at best on the offensive side of the ball and an even worse playmaker. Defense is stout, but gives up too much elsewhere. Just not worth big money. For cheap, keep him.

i have no problem wit him runnin the second unit, iknow Bev plays hard, I love his hustle and aggressiveness, but he can't pass the ball, thats the problem. he can't run the offense. and hes gotta learn how to play SMART basketball, the way he plays will only shorten his basketball career.

I think if Cavs resign Love, Mosgov, Thompson, and LBJ to a new contract.. They would resign Delladova on the cheap to maintain continuity.

Beverley isn't the worst PG in the nba by far.

But he is surely one of the worst STARTING PG's in the nba, if not the worst. On the other hand, this would make him first in line to be the leagues best back up PG. It's all a matter of perspective. But no matter which way you put it, he just shouldn't be starting on our team, a top 5, contending nba team.

Don't understand how people can label Bev as a shooter. FG% dropping every yearrrr since he joined us. Numbers dont lie.

    Stop the nonsense.
In my observation Beverley is easily one of the smartest players on the team.
The disrespect he gets from some of you is obscene, especially considering he has been a key figure in the Rockets' climb to contention.

Numbers don't lie but selective stats mislead.

Beverley's FG% has dropped as the share of his shots that are threes has increased.
His number of threes has increased because that's what the Rockets' offense calls for at his position.
    See the correlation?

Why no mention that his rebounds per game have increased every year he in Houston?
Or the fact that his assists per game have increased since his arrival as well?

Beverley is not an elite playmaker, but I don't think the Rockets expect (or need) him to be.
What he does (defense, rebounding, etc.), he does well plus the attitude and toughness he brings are things this team sorely needs.

The ongoing campaign to marginalize his contributions is ridiculous.

Dellevedova is signing a multiyear deal for $3-5 million per according to Shams. All things being equal, Beverley should be in the same range.
