i'm sure that's the kind of PG Melo is looking for. But they traded for Jerian Grant, probably not going to may him rot on the bench.
If Bev signs with another team and Llull does not sign with us (which evidently he is not)...then I bet Jeremy Lin signs with the Rox.
Sadly much of Clutchfans has become hostile territory for die-hard Rockets fans over the last few years. The product of an influx of seditious interlopers influencing the resident lemmings. I sincerely hope Beverley stays because he provides defense and toughness this team sorely needs.
If someone offers Bev 10...bye...But what is the max the Rockets should consider paying the dude? 3 years 18-20 million?
People failed to understand a very simple fact : If the Rox will not match the Bev contract : say 7-10 mils. It does not mean the Rox can use 7-10 mils to sign a free agent PG. It does not work that way. Rox can match Bev contract because its above the cap, but the Rox can not sign anyone even close that amount of money straight up. Or even if the Rox will go after a trade target in that range of 10 mils plus, that means the Rox will lose lots of assets in the process. So this is not just about how much money the Rox needs to match. It really isn't.
jack might be available since the nets got blake. augustine might be available since they drafted payne. both have done well everywhere they've gone.
Sorry that it is Kennedy:

The New York Knicks are ramping up their pursuit of restricted free agent Patrick Beverley, per sources. I hope PatBev gets as much money as he can... As a Rocket fan it would really suck but as a fan of humamity seeing the underdog get his is priceless
I agree patbev has giving his all when on the court for the past 3 seasons. He's paid his dues to get in this position. If the Knicks want to offer him 10+ Mil a year good for him. I would love to have him back but not at that price tag, I'm sure Morey can find another player just like him. DM is the best at finding talent in the league hands down. We got stars were trying to get one more, you never over pay for role players and the rockets never do I don't expect that to change with bev.
Yep, the Knicks are going to overpay big time on this deal, and acquire Patrick Beverly. Just like we did for Jeremy Lin, my prediction, lock it in.
If Knicks get Beverley, I won't be surprised to see Rockets get Lin back. This board will go to an epic meltdown...
This is going to happen, Bev is a good player, starting caliber PG in the right situation and a very good defender. If he gets paid, good for him. DD
The knicks offered afflalo only 8 per. They wont offer 10+ for bev. They dont have limitless capspace and phill seems to be kinda ok. Hes actually the only gm who hasnt overspent in this offseason as crazy as it sounds.
