Right, the Knicks are never going to get value for Melo. I don't think anyone doubts that. It's just a matter of how bad a deal they have to make.
why is that odd though? in the time between the deal being put on hold bc they brought in a new GM and now, kyrie entered the market. it's not hard to see that NYK would much rather fandangle kyrie from CLE than anything we are willing to offer. a momentary pause made complete sense since NYK was bringing in a new GM - i think even their foregone conclusion was they'd give king a few days to work over the phones and get his eyes on the deal w us but would ultimately move forward since their options were limited and melo's cmap was pushing Houston hard. now that kyrie entered the scene they'd be foolish to either a) not explore that option fully or b) leverage his availability to pry more from us. this is negotiation 101 IMO. NYK is simply maximizing their leverage.
Hoping Melo stays firm to come here. Also props to Stephen A in the beginning of the interview for shutting down the interviewer regarding OKC. You can feel how much dickriding ESPN feigns asking if OKC will get Melo. Houston is completely and utterly disrespected in the media. I hope we pull this trade off so we can momentarily startle this media succubus who've got their mouths draped around the johnson's of OKC, Cleveland, Warriors, and the Lakers. **** the media.
Lmao there goes Kyrie's list again. I have a list of 10 celebrities I'd like to **** but it doesn't mean my wife has to let me do it. The Knicks being on Kyrie's list means absolutely nothing.
While i don't think that's necessarily untrue, it's literally one side of the position with no input from the others. Cleveland are in a far more advantageous position than NY, but they end up in your scenario in the worst place. That's what doesn't make sense.
ugh, been posted numerous times. That is where the 5:45 today started. I start scrolling down, see Burt Steele in the tweeter name, and start to get excited for new news only to be disappointed. Kinda like it is Christmas day ... only to find out "Santa" just re-wrapped the gifts from last year.
Once we get Melo they will spend 2-3 days talking about how bad CP3-Harden-Melo would coexist and then continue to discuss how awesome OKC gonna be till season starts. I've seen this before. Nothing new there.
