@what not being on this list is a downright travesty and might be ban-worthy.

Westbrook had at one point Durant, Harden, Ibaka.... Prime Westbrook, Durant alongside a really good Harden and Ibaka.... And you think George and an aging Carmelo is something to be scared of?

Carmelo works in Houston because of Harden and Paul....

Right that's my point. I'm just stunned at how bad the Pacers made that trade.

But who would you replace? The cold equations man. Its tough to be the one making these decisions, but someones gotta do it.

Also felt bad for leaving out @tmacfor35 @Htowngenius and @Mr. Motiejunas

I'm glad the Knicks are committed. Otherwise, this thing could drag out a long long time.

I'm also thinking he may not be exactly excited at the idea of playing with/for Westbrook and George...Harden and Paul are way better passers and smarter players, they can make guys like Melo better.

It does matter because their offer had young players with upside. Hence no pick needed. The prize of our package was the pick and two vets that basically are what they are.

16 points on 44% and 36% shooting is solid. And he's solid defensively. He isn't garbage on one side of the ball like the guards we traded.

not really bc by now you've already seen what oladipo is as a player. basically hes an ok player. this "upside" isn't happening.

upside can definitely be mistaken when you see oladipo in different situations yet remains the same exact player

That team was the best team in the NBA and only lost to the superteam with the big 3.

are people really discrediting simmons? he's one of the highest profile sports journalists out there and basketball is his favorite sport. granted he spends a lot of time tossing around hypotheticals but if he says he's heard something he isn't lying. as cat said maybe his source(s) are being coy but you can't deny or doubt the fact that he could probably pick up the phone and call any number of people directly related to the negotiations and get some level of confirmation.

Absolutely!! No to mention the system, culture and coaching. And the city and state tax.... Oklahoma is toxic... Melo is not a huge superstar anymore... He is good but he is not an elite star. He can make the Rockets better and vice versa but it's not the case with every team.

No, I'm not discrediting him. I'm wondering more about whether what he is reporting means it could lead somewhere or if it was just gossip among execs he talks to. I'm trying to think of whether he was ever out front on a story that's all.
